Cowboy fans crack me up

This argument is ridiculous. So he's better than quincy carter and hutchinson, that doesn't mean he's a good quarterback, it means he's better than a couple of washouts.

All suck is not equal, just because romo can throw for 300 yards doesn't make him a good qb if he can't pull it together and consistently win the ones he needs too.

To be upfront I'm of the opinion that we fire wade and Garrett, find a new coach and give Romo one more year under a better staff, but let's not call this guy a franchise qb until he earns it.
I'm sure Dan Snyder agrees with your management advise.

they heard the Mob vs Carolina, I think it's more of a cry for help actually the Fans are begging the Dallas Cowboys to become Real Football Players by booing them...we are literally crying out and pooring our love out on the field for these guys by BOOOING. Just showing we care in the way that dedicated fans lift up their team. If the Coaches and Organization can't have that kind of effect we will. It can work, it has worked, MARK IT DOWN - it will work again.

"Fans are begging the Dallas Cowboys to become Real Football Players by booing them...we are literally crying out and pooring our love out on the field for these guys by BOOOING." - that's original.

I love you so much, I hate you.

That's life.

Fans that care and BOOING is not original in the least, that's what Football Fans have always done for Decades around the entire Nation but they really care. A fan has to care to stay and BOO - otherwise you just walk out.

Dallas fans know that we deserve better for our team, for our organization and proved that we really cared vs Carolina.

:bravo:...Its hard to even come to this site anymore because all the negativity.Im not saying we shouldnt be mad after a loss, lord knows,i can be a complete ******* after we lose but the constant bashing of the team by the fans is really a downer.I know the Cowboys arnt perfect but they are the team ive lived and died for these last 33yrs and i will continue to do so til i die.I love the DALLAS COWBOYS and i wish all the posers of this team would get the **** out and let me enjoy my favorite site.GO COWBOYS:star:
Did you ever go to Star Telegram post site a few years ago? it's been shut down since, but it was absolutely brutal then. Nothing but negative.

why do ppl like to compare Romo to the worst QBs in the History of football? When Aikman played fans never compared him to Gary Hogebooom!

the new gen Cowboy fan has been down sooo long they cant even think straight

After 12 1/2 years of Jerry Jones losing is not as easy as you think. Even the lowly Buffulo Bills have probably won a Play-Off game in 12 1/2 years.

Buffalo's last playoff win was Dec. 30, 1995.

I hate the band wagon fans. Always have.

That said, no one on here fits that description. Those here are not on a band wagon which means only backing a winner. They love this team but are frustrated and speaking their minds.

Nothing wrong with that. I do wish some of these so-called realists had the sack to tell us who the best teams are but they never do. They simply point at the Cowboys flaws and scream "I told you so." They never predict anything but doom and proclaim brilliance.

Not to mention that surely all the bandwagon NFL fans are up in Minnesota right now?

Wow....so we are comparing ourselves with the worst teams in the last Decade or more to somehow justify supporting Jerry Jones and our beloved teams downslide of Epic perportions into the pitt of NFL abyss....nice.

:bang2:

Buffalo on Monday Nights reminds me of Dallas last week.

Oh God... there's that word again.

There is no in between. You're either pissed as hell that this team is 2-2, or you're pie in the sky nothing could be better than 2-2.

It's not glass half-empty or glass half-full... It's glass overflowing or glass shattered.

So true.

I'm actually shocked by just how much, though I guess I shouldn't be anymore, it appears that peoples entire lives, their self worth, rather they're in a great mood or a bad mood during the year is entirely tied up in rather the Cowboys win football games or not.

I've seen this sort of thing with parents living vicariously through their children, and it's really sad then, but the fact that some around here really seem like their world is just terrible, and not worth living, if the Cowboys aren't winning championships all the time is even more sad.

Trendnet;3000328 said:
And that would be what?

Because you're right, I don't see your point.

That it is all about the ego on BOTH sides when whichever side starts lashing out at the other side making the football aspect of the discussion secondary.

The old pot kettle thing....

Realists = Blind homers.

While I'd like championships, I'd settle for the Cowboys not being a joke. Too much to ask apparently.

I used to hate going to bars and hanging out with Cowboy fans. Mostly because these so called "fans" were no where to be found when the Cowboys were a bad team. They were just band wagoners mostly, expecting perfection. It seemed to get to the point were winning wasn't enough. They had to dominate.

Now with TO gone, it seems like it's time to go after Romo. He's suddenly become the wipping boy after any loss. He's not a leader, can't win the big one. Does anybody remember all the QB's between Aikman and Romo?

I live up by Buffalo NY. They haven't had a 300 yd passer in 42 games. Romo's had more 300 yd games in that span than any other Cowboy ever.

He came in to Buffalo last year and played horribly. Yet he held it together and won the game. Dallas has lost this year to two undefeated teams and could have beaten either one had a ball bounced their way one more time.

Get a grip. The seasons early and the defense is starting to come together. Romo is going to have bad games sometimes. He sure as heck has had a lot of good ones. Show some support.

Well I can say this......as a lifelong Cowboys fan, last year was the only year where I hated the team. I still hate the 2008 Dallas Cowboys. They had all that talent and potential, but played like 53 instead of 1. They played with so little heart and passion. It was disgusting and a slap in the face to the legacy of this proud franchise. They just came across as being content with mediocrity....

At least those three 5-11 teams tried like heck to win....they just didnt have the manpower to compete. Our 1-15 team played balls out, but had so little talent.

This year's team should be 4-0. Instead we are 2-2. Garrett needs to stop acting cute with his playcalling. Get back to basics. Power running game, play action passing, slants and curls by our WRs and TEs, circle routes for our RBs. Romo needs to stop making mistakes. He needs to stop sitting all alone on the bench. leave the helmet on, go sit with the OL and WRs and stay in the flow of the game. Our WRs and Bennett need to step it up. Get open and catch the damn ball. Our defense needs to get more pressure, create more turnovers, and stop breaking at the end of games.

Other than the Giants, the first 7 or 8 games on our schedule were basically cake. We should have been no worse than 6-1 or 7-1. Now, we have to beat KC just to be above .500 at the bye. Then we start getting into the meat and potatoes of our schedule. It is put up or shut up time. We will find out what this team is made of.....especially Romo and our defense.

BTW, after the Denver game, I have given up on this team making a serious run for the playoffs. I will support the team, I will always root for the team.....but I have no expectations of success.....I do not believe in this team, Romo, Wade, Garrett, or Jones anymore. They have broken my trust. I am tired of defending them over and over again for the same exact nonsense. I will do it no more. They need to prove to myself and to the rest of you guys and gals that they are able to Cowboy Up when they need to.

The problem is there is so much hatred for this team out there, that anything short of winning the Super Bowl will be perceived as a failure.

When that perception becomes your reality, you're rarely going to be satisfied.

yeah, that must be it. Forget the fact they haven't even won a playoff game since the '96 season. We should be satisfied that we aren't Buffalo who hasn't won a playoff game since '95. Good point.

Suddenly Buffalo is the measuring stick? Good Lord we have problems.

The negativity on this board is pretty bad.

Right now Romo is the new whipping boy.

While I disagree with Hostile... that the "realist" fans are not bandwagoners.

I see them as more as 'fans' who are more interested in pumping their own egos by being "right".

So they proclaim as a unit that Romo sucks, the coaching sucks, the players have no heart, Jerry Jones etc etc... which is why they tear down victories, gain hysteria over losses and post endless repeating topics with the same garbage over and over.

It's not about rooting for a team... it's about being right about a particluar subject. Like the M.Jenkins vs Scandrick debate. One bad play by Jenkins and Scandrick crew will be out in full force. Not because it helps the Cowboys, but because they can pound their chest and be 'right'.

Cowboy fans are either unwilling or incapable of rallying behind their favorite team and root for them to succeed.

You have posters who always qualify their long ranting post with "I hope I'm wrong", and you know.. they really don't.
You're right. Even though I didn't really get into the Cowboys until '98 I'm a bandwagon fan

Did you miss the 2004 season?

And how do you figure that playing Denver in Denver is "cake"?
