I will respectfully disagree with this thought process. I'd rather have a 3rd and goal from the 11 with Dak at QB than try to stop any QB, much less Rodgers, with this D.

I'm not proposing Dak is at fault for not sliding there. I'm just stating you have these two options:

1. Down 4, 3rd and goal from the 11, 20 seconds left.
2. Up 3, 1:13 left, Rodgers ball on the 25 with one timeout.

If anyone picks number 2, you are disqualified from being taken seriously in any future football discussions.

With this sorry defense, you're probably right. But for the majority of NFL teams out there, especially playoff contending teams, they take the points and expect their defense to make a stop or at worst force a 45-50+ yd FG.

for those that care you dont take a knee and run the clock when your losing, it makes sense to do it when you are winning though like westbrook did to us in 07.

I agree although I do think we could have taken a knee at the 1. If you're dumb enough to hold at the 1 yard line in that situation, then you deserve to lose and we could have ran the clock out just as much by not throwing on 2nd and 1.

But while I agree that we could have kneeled at the 1 and it would have been nice to do so...it's not the reason we lost.

We lost because our defense stunk the entire game, T-Will gave away 7 points and we allowed the Packers to easily drive 75 yards in 64 seconds with only 1 timeout. That's pathetic.

You mean like the holding penalty the Falcons did during the superbowl when they were in field goal range to end the game? It's too dangerous. Scoring there was the right decision.

And the Falcons deserved to lose that game. And it's different than being on the 1 yard line where you have either a RB or FB dive or a QB sneak to get the TD.

If this was a run pass option then the coaching staff is even more idiotic than I thought. You don't leave that option up to the QB there. You DEMAND they run the ball and burn the clock in the process. RIDICULOUS.
