News: Cowboys activate LB Damone Clark

I had C6 and C7 fused in the cervical, was up and about doing normal stuff 2 months after surgery. Granted I not playing ball but the recovery was pretty quick.
yeah it just depends on the initial severity, I think. My range of m., numbness etc is awful.

Oh I know he’s a good kid.

But when you didn’t get much of a camp due to injury, then are two weeks behind schedule which will likely turn into 4 because of the bye, your start to wonder can we upgrade over him
True

As was mine, I held off as long as I could but as you said numbness and pain got to be too much. I had the procedure done and no ill effects since that has been 5 years ago. For me I'm thankful to the doctor who performed the procedure

AMEN!

If this guy flies around and makes plays anything close to how he did at LSU, and Hankins is about 80% of what he once was in limited snaps…a good defense just got that much better.

If they can pair that with getting the left side of the OL right and convince Moore that padding Daks stats aren’t the actual goal, I’d give this team a real shot.

"Give our medical staff credit … [Clark] has exceeded all expectations," said Cowboys owner Jerry Jones last week. "[He's] a guy we're really excited about and I do think he'll be playing for us this year. In terms of his role and how much? That'll evolve. … Boy, we're fired up about what he brings to the table.

"That LSU Tiger is gonna shine before it's over."

Damone Clark's talent level is without question when he's healthy. Hopefully, that's the case in the here and now. I expect he'll be brought along slowly at first, and gradually end up as a defensive force for the C'boys. Hopefully, a re-occurrence of his neck injury will be avoided in the future, if good fortune favors him.

Please don't be Jaylon Smith part deux.
He’s a rookie, he’s a rookie that missed all of camp, he’s a rookie that missed all of camp coming off major injury. I’d suggest tempering expectations for this season. But hell, I’m guessing half the posters will be shrilly screaming and vigorously stomping their wittle feet that he’s a bust in 2 weeks!

Yup. They're doing the same to Jalen Tolbert right now.

Hell, half the posters here were convinced Donavan Wilson was going to be cut this camp!
I thought traded not cut.
Facts! For some Marqise Bell lol
Yeah DQ is holding Bell back rn.

Really hoping DQ rotates Clark in like he's done with so many other defenders. Maybe after the bye DC will get worked in, but there's not a good reason to not add a player with his skill set to the LB rotation.

I really thought he'd have a red shirt year. This is a real bonus imo. I'm sure they will work him in slowly, but I'm excited at the idea of him taking over for the stretch run.

LOL. By the way, did anyone catch who helped make a potentially game saving stop against the Jags last week? Jaylon Smith. LOL. He'll milk that for a few weeks, at least.
Honestly, good for him. I've got no hate for Jaylon. I hate that our front office was dumb enough to sign him to a contract that he wasn't worth but he seems like a good person, for the most part. I wish the guy well.
