Every Cowboy from now until the end of time should now go to Cabo and hold out with 2 years left on their deal.

Players were given the right to renegotiate their rookie contracts after 3 years by the same thing that gives the owners the right to cut players that still have years left on thier contract.

Most definitely. He and his agent wanted to say $15 million a year and the Cowboys effectively said "OK, this is how we get there."

$103 million over eight years works out to $12.875 per year.

From that perspective, Gurley's contract averaged about $11.6M.

2.29M 2018 (from previous contract)
9.63M 2019 (from previous contract)
57.5M 2020-2023 (4 years, 57.5M)

I'm actually kinda glad.

Didn't like holding out with 2 years left on a 34 million dollar guaranteed deal but at the same time the Jones have been running there mouths the last 14 months about "zeke's a cowboy for life" "we have the money already allocated" "Gurley is the starting point for the next deal" so Zeke basically told them "alright show me then"

Front office ran their mouths so Zeke basically made them eat there words. They tried briefly the whole strong arm tough guy but they had already done too much talking, everyone knew they where full of BS

$50 guaranteed for a RB. Ole Jerry just got *****slapped by Zeke and his agent no matter how some of you are trying to spin this.

“Zeke wanted a shorter contract.” :lmao:

What does it really matter if he did?

I was wondering about the math on that but admittedly I was too lazy to look it up this morning. Thanks.

Weren't you saying $40M and I was saying closer to $50M? He eclipsed even what I was saying about splitting the difference at $47.5M. Thank you.

@ABQCOWBOY
You know what got this haul for Zeke? Leverage. Flat. Out. Leverage. Thank you.

LOL.... I love it when people talk before they've actually seen the details of the contract. I can not wait to see this. I hope you are still around.

The macro looks good for Zeke but we need to eee the details.. The contract was always about the details and knucklehead insurance.
