Hill is the same personality and needs to be coached up..

You could be right, but I doubt it. Guys who are lazy with an attitude seldom change that much. This guy is similar to Soft Taco in his attitude and passion for the game. We need to change our drafting/player acquisition policy a little. Players like Taco and Hill ( some upside, but serious attitude with a lazy streak and little passion for the game) need to be red flagged and taken off the board.

You can’t win with these type players. You need guys with attitude who hate losing!

Hopefully both Poe and McCoy work out and provide at least league average DT play. At their age and stage in their careers it would be foolish to count on both of them. That is a recipe for disaster imo. This team needs young DT talent. If one is available in the first round, the cowboys shouldn’t think they are set there. IMO it is still a big weakness.

Totally agree. Getting two decent vets is awesome. But DL still needs speed, pressure players

2019: LDE- DLaw, 3T-M.Collins, 1T- A.Woods, RDE- Quinn

2020: LDE- DLaw, 3T-McCoy, 1T- Poe, RDE- RG/TCraw/outside FA/draft pick

Big upgrade if you ask me, especially with DLaw healthier

I think we need slow down a little bit in our praise for these two moves. They seem like upgrades, but Carolina was terrible vs the run last year. Including on 1st down with those 2 big bodies on the line often together.

Name recognition, fans get excited when they can recognize a name, and any addition now is better than zero, what we had there.
Im more interested in developing the young talent, in Hill, Jackson, and Jelks,, but the obvious names pleases the masses, and Im even good with it after enduring a total stubborn ignorant Marinelli.
I have more disrespect for Rod than I do Jason, and both were trash, but it just seemed as though Rod was on Snyders pay roll for crying out loud..lol

Doesn't matter,, always look for the fall, not the reach, BPA availability should be there at 17 considering this teams needs.

Cowboys only hope will depend on if MM can duplicate what Andy Reid did in KC. And I’m not about winning the SB, I’m talking about the 51-25 record KC had under Reid before Wonder Boi took a snap.

This defense could be way worse than it was under coach Nod. At the very least coach Nod D kept you in the game. I have my doubts with Nolan. Combined with less than stellar personnel, things might be ugly!

Carolina was 23rd on defense. 29th in rush defense. we were 11th in rush defense.... and we just signed their two DTs...excuse me if I am not excited.

Many reasons, bad play calling, bad play beyond DL, bad DL play, they were tipping their calls.
