Culture of Winning ? --- Its a culture of Delusion, entertainment, drama, and being avergae, all the while, collecting huge profits for the franchise....

It's a culture that expects to win but often doesn't go about making it happen. Spew all the irrational hate you want, but Jerry wants to win just as much, if not worse than you.

Wrong but I don't want to hijack the thread.

Good excuse to avoid having to prove it. lol Easy to say someone is wrong but it's another thing to prove it. Murray was arguably the teams MVP last season it was the running game led by him that kept Romo's passing attempts down as well as his mistakes. The running game is what carried the offense with the Cowboys leading the time of possession battle in a number of games which kept our defense off the field.

Murray could have been resigned but the team doesn't value RB's like they use to and decided to bank on their OL to make a group of bargain backs productive and it didn't work. It resulted in putting more pressure on the QB position contributing to Romo's injuries and a very disappointing season that leaves the teams future in doubt.

You choose to ignore the fact that the Cowboys did offer Murray a contract. The Eagles simply offered him ridiculous money. Money they already regret.

I dunno, they just might win the division. Just beat the Patriots and Bills back to back, and the Cowboys are 4-9......................? Maybe they dont regret it as much as we think....

They could have offered him more but chose to pay Dez and they may end up regretting that. The Eagles regret paying Murray because he doesn't fit their scheme.

Jerry has never once balked at ponying up for a free agent. Outside of Murray, this team has gotten and/or retained just about everyone they've wanted--even when over spending. The Browns on the other hand have been historically cheap. Up until recently, they refused to pay to retain their own veterans and very seldom went after premier free agents. Things may be turning around there, but the culture will take quite some time to catch up.

They could have had Dez and Murray without blinking an eye. This team is not in any perceived salary cap hell. Murray got a ridiculous contract. They made the right decision.

You're right. How could they regret it when Sproles has been the best back on their roster and was the feature back last week.

At 4-9 in the basement of the NFC Least that doesn't point to the team making the right decision. The monumental fall the team has taken from last year to this year leaves the Cowboys future in serious doubt especially with an aging, injury prone Romo.

Just imagine had the 90's Cowboys decided to let Emmitt walk during the 93 season and bank on their OL. They were 0-2 without him.

They dont have the pockets that Jerry has, and has made largely off the Dallas Cowboys, City of Dallas, and state of Texas.

But hey, we can , at least, pick on the browns.

Judging by the comments I've seen the last few weeks it seems like we have become Browns fans. Except just a year ago everything was looking right. Everyone was high on the Cowboys and talking Super Bowl. Now we go to this season. We got injuries, and suspensions and our whole season has turned into turmoil. I'm bummed. I really thought this was our year. Instead I'm disappointed again. The way this forum looks though reminds me of that film "Major League", except those were Indians fans, not Browns, but their fans seem to have the same sentiment. I'm not going to link "Sad Browns Fans", but our fans look in the same boat right now.

Cowboys are out. I'm hoping a KC Chiefs vs. AZ Cardinals Superbowl.

/They should bid on getting a clapper on the sideline.
//Will go sleep off my tears now

That is because this is the first year we've been out of it this early in quite some time. I started looking at draftbreakdown in November. Most years that isn't til January or later. This team is going nowhere without Romo and the braintrust set it up as such.

Jerry Jones reminds me of Bob Bass. Jones never gets fired but Bass never failed to get jobs. He would win the hot stove and turn franchises around financially by making the starting veneer look competitive but then have no depth on the bench leaving it completely to luck whether or not they could field a competitive team.

It baffles me too. Jerry Jones championed the cap not once but twice with revenue sharing to make it work. Seems ironic that he acts like there is no cap and he can use money to fill other holes with talent that is good enough.

We're going to trade up for a QB or something stupid. Never know though Jones will surprise you. Been a dozen years but you never know.

So their fall has been due to not resigning Murray? Nothing to do with losing their franchise QB, the man who should have won MVP last season, having their best WR hobbled and/or out most of the season, coaching blunders and horrible execution?

I genuinely hope some of you learn to temper your emotional responses as time goes on This team didn't make some monumental tumble. Last year was an aberation. This is essentially the same team as those 8-8 seasons. Not having your QB for essentially the entire season is worth four losses, if you ask me.

This team certainly has glaring issues. But I think people are exaggerating how good this team was last season and expounding on that by overreacting to this season.

Yeah, but they dont have to deal with a Dallas Cowboys team late in december winning the east, do they?

That is a stretch . I know that. But really, whatever the stats and money. Th eagles are a better team then we are.

and yeah, Murray got overpaid. But if its one guy, one contract that i could live with being overpaid, it would be the leagues leading rusher, who propelled the team to 12-4, and gave it an identity., Yes, over pay for that please!!!

We made the wrong call. Just like we made the wrong call with MBIII, Miles, Carr, maybe Crawford.......And now look where we are at. 4-9, and looking for a .................................................RUNNING BACK.

What? Why does is matter how Jerry makes his money? All that matters is he is willing to spend it, even throw it away at times to try and field a winner. If you're honestly going to argue with me Jerry's spending practices as an owner against the Browns, you clearly haven't been around long enough or don't have any idea what you're talking about.

No one is picking on the Browns. I certainly am not. I am stating facts backed up by historical evidence. If anything, it is the Cowboys who are being picked on, as is so ever-present on this forum lately.

Sobering, right there. Same 4 will still be without a SB appearance as we start 2016 season, although Zim has done a nice job with the Vikes. It is what it is, Jerry isn't changing. He still thinks he'll find a way, his way, back there. As a fan, I've lost any confidence in it happening other than the blind squirrel finding the acorn.

The Eagles are a better team regardless of Murray. That's the argument.

Furthermore, if Murray's play this season says anything, it's that we likely would have been looking for another running back anyway.

You implied the browns are cheap and dont care about winning......

I assure you they want to win as much as Jerry does....Jerry doesnt hold a trophy saying "wants to win more thern anybody". Everybody else wants to win.....to imply anything else, is silly, and childish.

You wipe away 20 years of failure with , "well, he wants to win more then anybody". No he doesnt!!!

Maybe we should just start giving participation trophies and giving points for "moral" victories.
