Unless that contract is much less than I think I highly doubt they go OL in the first round.

IMO, he didn't move the chains well enough to be a top 5 WR.From 2012 to 2014 Dez was a top 5 WR.
He averaged 91 catches 1312 yards and 14 tds in those three years.
I know it seems so long ago. I think a lot of people have forgotten.
More like what would Dez have become playing for a coach who made him run his routes hard and maximized his potential?I'm no fan of Garret and Linehan and basically think both are incompetent. That said, I've always wonder how Dez would have performed playing for a competent coach who runs an effective system with a team with a cutting edge front office? For a team whose owner didnt coddle him and enable his tantrums? For a team with an alpha QB?
What say you?

But, what if. What if they've tried to get him to learn the route tree better or become better at it, and he just hasnt. Either not wanted to or just couldnt get it down. But since he knows his days could be numbered he finally took some initiative to learn it?
Part of what he said was probably Derek Dooley's doing...the other thing ,He sounds like a guy who knows he's heading out of the league soon, prolly 2 years max. Sour grapes I think.Butler already confirmed that in Dallas they don’t want their players doing anything outside of what their main strengths are. Butler indicated his route tree was limited when he got to Dallas despite what he’s able to run and been able to. He said in dallas whatever your strength is they just stick with that and have you run routes just based on that.

Well Brice...BYE. lolDoubtful. All former players have said the same thing. Hell other opposing coaches discuss how basic our offense is.
Butler said this at the time when there was a likelihood he could remain in dallas. The only reason he didn’t is because he refused to stay if he wasn’t made a starter
Garrett hasn't been trash...but this year is it for him..his final act. HE MUST GET THIS CLUB TO THE POST SEASON AND MAKE IT DEEP. Dak has to be Dak...and Zeke has to be available all 16 games. The oline is key in all this.If Dez is traded and looks like an all pro, the good news is Garrett is gone!

Nope. Garrett isn't the guy getting paid to be a stud. He's not the guy wearing 88...or the guy who chose NOT to hone his route running skills in over 8 years. That's all Dez. Garrett can only coach the guys he has. Linehan may have SOME blame play calling wise, but that's where it ends..BUT don't forget about Derek DOOLEY. A good positional coach gets his players attention. He didn't do his job. 90 % of the blame falls on Dez and Dez alone. If Dez becomes all world on another team, Garrett is trash.
I only move on from him if someone wants to trade for him. I think Dez still has value even if it has diminished over the last few years.
Depends on what Garrett’s team doesIf Dez becomes all world on another team, Garrett is trash.

That's all well and good but his value doesn't match what he's getting paid. That's the issue.I only move on from him if someone wants to trade for him. I think Dez still has value even if it has diminished over the last few years.

Coming from the guy who can't learn the playbook, I'm going to have to declare a mistrial!!!Butler already confirmed that in Dallas they don’t want their players doing anything outside of what their main strengths are.
