I don't get this at all, if we also have 2 more RB's in for workouts today as well as 2 other positions (DT and WR). Why claim this guy now ? Did they not think he would be there after the workouts i.e. someone else would have claimed him ?
Does that now make the RB workouts a waste of time ? So if we do like one or more of the 4 guys we are bringing in for a look, now we have to get rid of some more guys.
I get the "churn baby churn" theory. But it is starting to feel like the 2013 season all over again, where we would sign multiple DE's and they were starting the next week. Felt like we went thru about 30 of them. Are we that desperate already ???
Somebody explain ...
Harder to run with 8-9 in the box, due to QB and WR deficiency.
Holes aren't as big, due to Martin, Leary, and Free being dinged up; and Collins still has some things to learn.
RB's aren't breaking any tackles, which is the one measurable we're missing from Murray.
It certainly appears that the staff was not ready to change directions and personnel without good reason, and they've now reached that point.
Everyone can see that the season is on the brink, so changes are no longer optional.
I like it.
