Smith signed his release papers the day he decided to race a kicker.... and lost! :lmao2:

Can't blame that on Smith. Usain Bolt lights a candle every night hoping Buehler doesn't get into track . . .

Jerry and Wade are a joke when it comes to judging talent. your post is right on the money. Proctor is flatout terrible. he will be thrown around like a doll again this year.and people wonder why we cant win a playoff game.

This team is loaded with talent. Can't be too awful of judges.

I know it's hard but Holley needs to be off the list

I fixed it. I accidentally deleted Holland instead of Holley.

Post mortem.

I remember Campo arguing in the war room for Mickens, and he was probably behind the D. Smith pick somehow.

Looks like Campo ain't such a good judge of talent. Maybe M. Hamlin will save the day ...

So loaded talentwise that we kept a guy we just claimed off waivers, Preston....

I think this is the least talent through the botom of the roster we have had in a while...

We may be loaded with talent....but Minnesota?!

Man, you can field a Super Bowl team with the guys they're cutting!

Maybe they didn't want to break up the band.

I hope they're better than the Hutchinson-Flowers duo. :lmao2:

I'll 2nd that. This team isn't as talented as some think it is. One injury at most positions and there is a SIGNIFICANT drop off. Knock on wood but the only positions we're safely deep at is RB, TE, and yes kicker

I'm a bit surprised that we kept McGee on the final 52/53. With all the other QBs getting cut, it would be a chance to sneak him onto the PS. They must really like him. Or the Matt Moore thing has them scared.

Watkins saved his job last night.

I think we would've kept Watkins anyway due to Hamlin breaking his wrist. Who else would back up K. Hamlin and Sensabaugh right now? Watkins would've made the team anyway because of special teams.

We're OK at QB, WR, OLB, and DE as well.

We really need to worry about any injuries on the OL, DT, or ILB. I don't have much faith in any of the backups at these positions.

I'm also worried about the CB position. We have a very large dropoff between the #3 and #4 positions.

While next year Austin or Hurd or both will be gone to another team for more money so we will have to replace one or both them. Assuming Olgtree progress and fills in as the #3 or #4 wr there should be another good camp battle next year at WR

Hopefully we can draft a wide receiver next year and throw him into the mix. If he's good enough we'll have Roy, the draftee, Crayton in the slot, and Ogletree as the 4. Austin can be traded and if Hurd makes a push, we'll just be a better team for it. The same goes for Austin but I won't be sure he can be the guy until he shows it over the course of a season.

Let's see, Pat Watkins turned into Superman last night and that (combined with the injuries and poor rookie play) saved his job.

I hope he plays smarter. I still don't like him at safety. He doesn't make any plays in the games that count. He did return that blocked FG for a TD against the Vikings in 2007. That is about it.

Watkins was a 15 yard penalty machine last year on special teams (see the first Eagles game).

I'm disappointed he's not gone and wasn't replaced.

Cory Proctor lives for now, but we'll see. He can't anchor. Why is he still here? I don't get it. Everyone knows it but Dallas. I'm hoping he's the next James Marten.

Courtney Brown is gone.

Pat McQuistan survives by default. He gets knocked off balance too easy and ends up on the ground. He's in Cory Proctor territory, and he couldn't beat out the master himself. He shouldn't be on this team.

Isaiah Stanback is gone.

The two guys that need cut the most are still here, imo. It's the two guys on the offensive line.

Proctor and McQuistan are very, very poor football players, imo.

Why are they stilll here? Special teams helps McQuistan, but does anyone think he could block the Giants, Eagles, or Commanders?

I don't, and I know Proctor about got Romo killed multiple times last year.

There has to be two players on the waiver wire better than these two guys, because these two guys are down right terrible.

It sounds mean, but I'm just going by what I"ve seen out of them on the football field.

Any wr we draft next year would most likely be the #3 wr even as a 1st round pick most wr struggle there 1st year some exception Bowe did well on a bad team Colston for NO but he was a 7th round pick most guys take about 2-3 years to really take off other WR that tend to do alright is high draft picks but they are on teams picking in the top 10 generally and are starting by default and get the reps need to catch a ton of passes but there teams generally still do not do well in the win columns
