Jerry and Wade are a joke when it comes to judging talent. your post is right on the money. Proctor is flatout terrible. he will be thrown around like a doll again this year.and people wonder why we cant win a playoff game.

Yes. We can't win a playoff game because our backup left guard is garbage.

If only we could all be as smart as you.

I don't think he was ever in danger of NOT making the team.

We didn't even make the playoffs last year in part because we had Proctor as a backup guard.

I cannot grasp the idea he is on the team. This is like some sort of sick joke.

I thought I would log on here and get the news that should have been here: Proctor and Stanback gone. I am not pleased.

They are just saving his cut for a day of his own.

Really? That's scary?

garcia instantly bolsters their offense to top 20 maybe even top 15. HUGE upgrade. i only hope they keep him as a backup the entire year. they have been a respectable team with absolutely no qb help for awhile now.

i guess its all or nothing with you, Alex. You should be at least fitty percent pleased. :laugh2: Maybe less since Proctor actually hurt the team last year. Stanglass just never earned the opportunity

Post mortem.

I remember Campo arguing in the war room for Mickens, and he was probably behind the D. Smith pick somehow.

Looks like Campo ain't such a good judge of talent. Maybe M. Hamlin will save the day ...
It's premature to write the Mickens and Smith picks. Lets see what happens.

You're kidding right?

He might actually have a point. Garcia is shiftier in the pocket than Campbell, and he's always thrived in the WCO, which is what Jim Zorn runs.

He's be a one year fix if the Skins really don't want to go with Campbell. He might not make them a top 15 offense, but he'd probably be an upgrade.

dont worry alexander, i think this is the cowboys plan involving proctor;
first, they will scour the waiver wire either for a cb, safety or offensive linemen

2nd they are waiting to see how preston will do leading up to the first game;
if preston can show more, then they can let proctor go before the start of the first game. The hitch i think in this whole deal with proctor was the fumbled snap exchange in the vikngs game between preston and kitna.

If Kitna hadnt fumbled the snap, then I think the cowboys would have let proctor go.

I would say that either keith davis the olgesby the former cb that was with the cowboys last year, will be resigned. Now I would like for the cowboys to sign tony panos, that would kill 2 birds with one stone, he can play OT and I think OG too, as a very good backup. That way you might could let mcquistan and proctor both go, to sign another player too.

Just my thoughts;

I don't get hung on who gets cut and who stays.

This coaching staff watched these guys from mini-camp on and if they think that Proctor has more value to the team at this very moment than say Stewart, Mickens or whomever, then I'm OK with that.

I can certainly understand being a little uncertain about having Preston be the lone backup at center being that he's only been on the team for a couple of weeks.

And either signing would be a step backwards and without a doubt a sign our personnel departments are not only deranged, but lazy as well.

Both were here at one time and were deemed not good enough.

We failed to upgrade either so now we just do it over with more of the same? How on earth is that rational?

Um.... actually, the backup left guard is a major reason why Romo spent so much time running for his life last year and co-contributor to Romo getting killed in the Arizona game. So yeah, our backup left guard is a major reason why we didn't get in the playoffs last year and yeah he is a major reason why our offense left our defense out to dry towards the end last year. So yeah, our backup left guard IS important!:banghead:

I would imagine that final spot is going to be used picking up a DB from waivers. I can't imagine we're going into the season with only 4 CBs.

I think Ryan O'Callaghan would be a nice upgrade/replacement for McQuistan.
