Cowboys cuts (A. Glenn) *Merged*

There is no point in re-signing Glenn. If he was cut to avoid paying his full salary, it doesn't make sense. He is getting $500,000 already, and if he gets sign to vet minimum, about $800,000, that's $1.3 Mil, he was scheduled to make $1.7.

I am more concerned at LB than anything else. We can't a foord an injury or we will be in really bad shape.

That's the life in NFL 2007.

Maybe the guys we cut sucked?

Yeah, hard to believe.

Let's get togeather and buy the Cowboys from Jerry!

We could hire educan as the GM, or about 20 other posters that are very qualfied!

Let's get er done!!

Only 20?

To hear them talk we have the greatest talent evaluators in NFL history right here. :)

Interesting theory but we kept eleven defensive backs.

Quantity of DB's doesnt necessarily defeat this theory. He could have the O-line and D-line where he wants it. Leaving the DB's for last.

And you doubt that, Mikey?:)

and interesting all 8 of the draft picks made it.

Maybe they just hung onto ball until they can get another corner.

I really cant understand not cutting him and sending him to the practice squad.

Maybe you look like a scab? Or a booger?

What would Deion say?

(please don't answer....)

As a matter of fact...I'm hot and handsome!

See, you can pick your nose, and your friend can pick his nose, but, you can't pick your friends nose...just an FYI.

Carry on...

So we PUP'd him?

I believe he was waived injured, which means he is put straight on IR since he is a vet.

Once we reach an injury settlement with him he will come off IR and be able to sign with any team

But he can only sign with Dallas after six weeks plus how ever many games we paid him in the settlement

So if we give him a 4 game settlement he couldnt sign with us until week 10

If your chances of a successful season rest on the rapidly declining skills of a 35yo dwarf...

Then your team really isn't meant to be successful.

No Sir IR & PUP are two different animals. If we had put him on PUP he would have been out of action for the entire season.

I want to start panicing like most of you, but I'm choosing to have faith that Wade knows what he's doing.

That being said, we should have cut Ball and kept Moore, we also should have cut Miles Austin and kept Urban. I also think we should have kept Remi Ayodele , but I'm not sure who we'd cut to keep him. Stephen Bowen maybe?

Think RedStinks...and all your troubles will be gone...

;)

they will sign him in week two so as to not be on the hook for his whole salary people...think about it

pssst PUP would have given us 6 weeks to let him start practicing then decide if we want him on the roster or IR think Darren Woodson a couple years back on PUP

You haven't waxed as eloquent since the Eddie George days, Mikey.

But I agree. In this scheme, there is no place for "declining" cornerback skills.

With the caveat that the 'developing' ones will be just as, if not more, problematic, but will at least see some light at the end of the tunnel.

I hope

Yes, you are correct.

And he couldn't be put on PUP like some have mentioned. The PUP is only for players that were injured prior to camp. Once they practice they are ineligible.
