I can't believe the outcry over Aaron Glenn...the guy gave up some big plays last year. He's old and doesn't support the run well at all.

If we're expecting to put pressure on the QB, then it makes more sense to me to keep the younger guys...When we're in the nickel, I'm just as happy with Reeves or Jones out there as Glenn at this point. They probably also figure they can pick up CB's who get cut that will be every bit as good as Glenn and cheaper.

I think it also says that TNEw is expected to be back soon, even if it's not for the Giants game. Would you really want to keep Glenn just for that game? They have to look at the bigger picture, imo.

I don't have a problem with any of the cuts. I especially think it would have been crazy to keep the young QB. We'll probably resign him to the practice squad, but if not, rest assured...QB's just like him at this point in time will be available for the practice squad even if he gets signed...Frankly, I see no way in heck he'll get signed to someone's 53 man roster.

I like the fact that Phillips isn't hanging onto every aging veteran who's game is going downhill out of some fear of rookies. He prides himself in putting players in position to make plays...let's give him a chance.

I don't think we have a deal working for another CB. If we did, we just lost any leverage we might have had by cutting Glenn and putting ourselves in a desperate situation. We might pick someone up off of waivers, or resign Glenn, but I think a trade is very unlikely.

He cannot play for his current TEAM for the remainder of the year -- as soon as he's healthy he'll be cut and can sign with ANY team except the Cowboys.

I also agree w/Wayne with one exception .....Moore. I hope he clears waivers.

We need a 3rd QB to groom for the future. How quickly we forget how many old band aids we went through at QB before Tony emerged.

Seriously, no one is saying Glenn is great or anything, but he's better then those other guys and he has experience (which is invaluable w/Newman hurt).
