So you name every great starter that was picked in the 6th and after and I'll name ones that were picked in the 1st and 2nd, ready, set, go?
You: Brady
Me: Marino
You: Romo
Me: Manning
You: crickets
Me: Brees
You: skip a turn
Me: Rodgers
You: skip a turn
Me: Rothlesburger(sp), Aikman, Elway, Young, Kelly, and Luck

Turn in your fan card, you didn't include Staubach.

People have an issue not being serious about finding Romo's replacement. That all we do is draft these guys late and hope they can be someone, which they never do.

It's better than drafting someone high and hoping they can be someone, only to watch them become nobody.

We don't need to go "all in" on a rookie just because.

The FO is clearly not reaching for a guy unless they truly believe in him. Which is actually a good thing.

Would you rather have us waste real picks on guys like Geno Smith? EJ Manuel? Blaine Gabbert? RG3? Brandon Weeden? Brady Quinn? Were all of THOSE teams serious about getting a franchise QB? Perhaps. But they were also dumb, and they reached. And in doing so they missed out on guys who might've really helped their team.

Dak Prescott is a great player. Great leader. He made everyone on Miss St. better.

He has a great story and the size to be an NFL QB. He needs to learn to go through progressions and take snaps under center.

He had Miss St at a number 1 ranking and they were not a very talented team.

NO. TURN IN YOUR FAN CARD. Roger was drafted in the 10th round due to the fact that he had a 4 year Navy commitment before he could play in the NFL. Again crickets. Lol

You didn't say if there was a reason why they were drafted in the 6th or later, just that they were... Roger was drafted in the 10th thus later than the 6th... so therefore he wasn't a great by your logic! :p

everyone keeps telling me this is great pick so I will listen. Just surprised Dallas takes a player who probably doesn't see the field this year combined with Jaylon Smith who won't see field either. That's two draft picks who won't help your team this year. Personally, I would have taken CB here and get serious about Romo replacement next year and use 1st rounder.

[quote="NickZepp, post: 6667338, member: 1141". I wouldn't mind taking a developmental QB but Prescott is just not any
]Don't know if he can play at a starter level. Not even sure if he is an NFL QB so you don't know nothing then?? But you the only who knows is not a starter qb.. lmaoooooo policy thought less of Romo he wasn't drafted, but look at him now..

A career backup at this spot in the draft on a team that needs a backup QB is not the end of the world.

And there's a chance this guy could develop into a starter with time. I like this pick here.

I would like to see Linehan create some packages for him. If nothing else, something more for defenses to prepare for.

Towards the end of the 4th.

Has all the tools.

Cannot complain at all with what this team has done with their last 3 picks.

If you squint and pretend the Cowboys took Smith 4th and Zeke at 34 the draft makes sense.

Hell yeah

And dude can run.

I love this pick

Maybe the numbers and build are the same, but Dak is a MUCH better passer than Tebow. Not even close.

seems to be good at moving around in the pocket to buy time for guys to get open and find them. Reminds me more of mcnabb than tebow
