Signed by Cowboys Cowboys Extend Blake Jarwin

This will be an extension on top of his 2nd round tender, which was about $3.3m. Total contract is 4/27.55 for an AAV just under $6.9m. My guess that the $9.25m guaranteed all comes in the first year with an $8m bonus prorated $2m a year over the 4 years and a $1.25m base salary for a 2020 cap hit of $3.25m.

Good move.
This tells you McCarthy thinks he is our starter.

We will not be looking in the draft nor FA for TE.

Schultz just moved up the depth chart, too.

This is all good news from a roster standpoint.

And toodles to Witten. Thanx for the memories.

hooper signed for 4 yrs 44 I would have rather did that but at least we know with that deal hes getting most of the starter snaps and we will finally see if hes just a fan fave shouting for him to get more snaps or a real players/..

I am a huge fan of Jarwin getting his fair shot. I like this. He's been on the cusp for 2 years. He just never had the reps.

Going to be a lot tougher with just Gallup
so 48hrs before FA frenzy truly starts and its ONLY GALLUP , its Gallup , a draft pick, and a Vet like Cobb . we can still rotate in Borwn, smith and Wilson,,.

this isnt the roster, so stop the PRE WHINING before this has barely started..jeez the crying starting early..:angry::popcorn:

Now tell Witt nicely......thanks, but we're going in a different direction.....or simply show him game film.

Jarwin hasnt drawn a top defender or done squat against any good teams. Hes better than #82 is but doesnt have the skillsets of a top te in this league. Hes just a checkdown receiver with no deep ball or gamechanging scoring abilities just like his predecessor.

Pre Whining? Come on now. Jarwin is a damn good signing. Just simply saying, if the opposing teams are focused to focus on just Gallup and a few rookies, it's going to make it harder to run up and down the seam.

According to most here, we will just draft Jerry Rice, Randy Moss because it's that easy. Brown is never healthy, there is an odd reason Smith couldn't beat out Bryant and Wilson is just decent. I hope they bring Cobb back as he is a damn great slot receiver.

Different philosophies.

Garrett's O is one wherein TE blocking is at a premium. A lot of that was because we had a guy who did both extremely well for most of his career.

McCarthy likes TEs that are really just big receivers.

and oddly McCarthy's run game attack implements a lot of formations where they don't even use a single TE on the field.
2 back and multiple WR formations.

dude I guarantee Zeke and Pollard will be used heavily in the pass game in MM Moore hybrid..it will boost this offense bigtime...it will make up form Coops number alone..they both will have over 500 yards in receiving add in dynamic run game and its not as big a deal as you think..

no garett to hold the offense back, better defense and ST..we got this..

I hope so! I think the most frustration is not from not signing Cooper. It's more so having the cap to spend big on players and sitting back and watching it all happen.

But i agree with you

I'm now seeing Jarwin's deal being reported as 4 years, $22M. Still a bit rich, but far more tolerable than $8M/year.

I just said FA DOESNT EVEN START UNTIL WEDENSDAY AND GOES UNTIL THE SEASON STARTS PLUS THE DRAFT.. HOW ABOUT WE WAIT UNTIL THE ROSTERS SET TO FREAKIN COMPLAIN..SMH
