Most teams are
The Dline is hard to pick because it’s so much about effort, heart and desire
Some position you can good good just because of athletic ability
Seems every year there are massive bust from Dline picks, especially DT

No, its just if you EVER get the opportunity to pick 4th in the draft, you better take that stand DT or DE and not a RB. Love Zeke, but that was a dumb move. Especially if your investing heavily in a dominant Oline. You go cheap on RB with a stable of quality backs picked from 2 or lower and your fine.

Might want to look at that draft

Fair enough...

BUT, he's gotta drop the BS; he's a Boise guy for cripes sake!

Can't be acting like a world class shmuck when we've got a ton of other guys coming up on contracts.. His shtick might catch on, then suddenly, we'd have contract disputes with every guy on the roster...

Both he and Bease need to understand it's a privelige and an honor playing for the Dallas Cowboys... There's no need to act like TO over a contract negotiation..

If he's gonna be a leader, then have some damn class!
It’s a business
As much as us fans wish players would take less to play for our team that’s just not reality and to be honest it would be foolish of a player getting his first negotiated payday

Exactly, it’s a business..

We gotta be smart.

We all love the players, but for me, the Star always remains top priority...

When I heard the news that DL was being tagged, it was reported that they were "far apart," but no details were forthcoming.
Without knowing what the player wants or team offered it’s hard to judge. Are they really far off? Is the player being unrealistic or is the team low balling him
I’d love to know those answers so I’d know who to be complaining about

First step in the process of signing/trading him. No surprises.

I think it gets done
My guess is it’s all about how much is guaranteed which is usually the sticking point
The player has to think about his future the team has to think about the overall roster
It would be nice to know what was offered and what he’s asking for

Negotiations are such that outside opinions are more of a hinderance than a help.

As a result, both sides aren't usually prone to divulging the details if they're smart.

That's not to say that it would or wouldn't happen but it's usually best not to do so.

I don’t blame them. If they told me I’d post it here and the whole world would know

Honestly, I’d even do it at 22, but my boy is on the pipe if he really thinks he has earned the top dog spot at his position...

I really hope he just shuts up and let’s his agent handle things...

I was so proud of how he handled things last year, and I see no reason he can’t just play the good cop by keeping his trap shut this time... I hope it works out, since I’m a BSU homer and all, but with so many young kids on the roster, I’d hate a team leader to be acting like a class A POS, when it’s not even necessary..

Let your agent handle things, while keeping up a good public image - just like last year...

If you had to pay 22 it wouldn’t be as big an issue as how long. If you paid him 66 over 3 yrs and could get out for nothing after that I could live with it

Me too. I’d be fine with that...

Just wouldn’t want to guarantee that whole thing...

Also, I don’t care who it is, you gotta keep these guys hungry with performance incentives...

I thought I read somewhere they offered 17. If he said no to that then I imagine he wants 20.

I wonder what the odds are that Dlaw gets traded? I cant imagine him playing under a franchise tag, but who knows. I think we either lock him down long term or move him.
