He could be asking for the moon. Yeah, he's the best we have, but he couldn't stay healthy and disappeared down the stretch last season. I can assume it was his labrum that held him up towards the end, but assumptions make me nervous when we're talking about possibly breaking the bank.

I’m signing DLaw at the elite price. Not quite Mack but not far from it. $80-85M guaranteed. I never thought I’d see the day I thought he’d be that level but when it happens, you pay it. Unless you question his character.

Keeping in mind I’m not signing Dak this year at all. He’s got to show more next year for me to give him the contract. $30 million per for him is not in my mind at all.

Under the tag he’ll make 20.5 in 2019! What an insult! I’d be furious! How is he supposed to live? He has a family, for God’s sake! Don’t the Cowboys KNOW he’s saving the world?!?

I think you missed the memo brah.

Some guy on here was just comparing Lawrence playing under the tag to modern-day slavery.

He said, "Owners treat the players however they want" lololol

That’s hilarious! Most people get crapped on daily, at a MUCH greater level, for a teeny-tiny fraction of the money!

I swear some of our fans believe in Socialism when it comes to football. DLaw has played his tail off for the last two years and deserves a big market value contract. The franchise tag has screwed him. Look at how the tag screwed Enziel Ansah. He got hurt and will never get his big payday. The tag screws the players and I would sit out a season before I would play under it.

Play pro football for one year for 20.5 million? Um, ok. I guess so, but everyone should be grateful and kiss my ***.

That might depend on what we could get by trading him.

It also depends on what he's asking. I doubt they use the franchise tag if it wasn't the size of the contract that is being demanded by Lawrence. If so then tag him and trade him. The Kansas City Chiefs are in need of a DE.

There go's half the cap for one player. Oh and Dak needs 30 mil a year too. Plus cooper, jones and don't forget Zeke is *****in already.

Win a playoff game and they all want to be the highest paid players at their positions.

Yeah like they're all goats.

You just contradicted yourself.

In a free market, you get what someone is willing to pay. 20 mil is a big payday. Do you have to take classes to not understand money this badly?

this isn't a free market when you have a salary cap and a franchise tag. Get rid of those and you then have a free market. NFL is a socialistic set up for sure, and set up to destroy the loyalties bolsters and owners, and fans. And takes away the work the teamscdo by identifying and developing good players by enabling other teams the ability instead them because you can't resign the players that were originally urs or the players u made work for you that others transcendent want. This system is bad as is the whole nfl set up now, thinking they are the judge, jury , and punished for what should be left to the judicial system.

He’s made over 20 million dollars.

If he plays under the tag this year, he’ll have banked 40 million dollars....

I wish somebody would screw me like that....

20 million vs 80 million what would you rather have? While Jerrah gets a new yacht. Tank gets a bad back and torn rotator cuff for his trouble.
