The main point in these negotiations from the players point of view is long term deals with a large guarantee to protect against career threatening injuries. And for obvious reasons, this is exactly what owners don't want. Having to pay a player when he can no longer play. The franchise tag has screwed him. Look at how the tag screwed Enziel Ansah. He got hurt and will never get his big payday. If Dlaw is not worth 20 which is easily the market then there is no chance we keep Zeke, Dak, Jaylon, LVE, Jones
If you aren’t willing to pay market value then you better be able to hit on 4-5 picks every year because you aren’t keeping your best players
