Something else to consider.
Has not been all that much twitter talk about teams being interested in him.

Considering he is the top pass rushing DE in FA...does not seem to be getting much interest.

I just wonder if teams know the NFL is not done punishing him or they expect him to miss time.

Or they're sitting back and waiting to hear what if anything the NFL will do...

RKG can mean anything a coach or team wants it to mean when bringing in a player or not bringing in a player whether that be in FA or the Draft.

Guy has off the field issues but they want him......Oh We mean RKG is a guy that practices hard, plays hard and is there for his team....we did our own investigations into the off the field issues and determined that it is not the kind of guy he really is and we will have people keeping and eye on that and working with him and blah blah blah.

It means what they want it to mean.

It's not even possible to have a team full of boy scouts.

For some reason I feel Jerry is pretty chummy with Goodell, he always seems to get the info he needs when taking these kind of risks.

Well, he just threw the NFL under the bus today in his testimony during the Super Bowl ticket court case. Maybe they wont be so chummy going forward.

Yep. His motive was, "See I said it first."

and

"See, I was right."

and

"See, if you pay me you can have this kind of info weeks in advance."

Of course, it is just rampant speculation weeks ahead of free agency. Something he said he heard at valley ranch likely.

I wonder if he'll link to all the stuff he guessed wrong about?

All they ever have to do is make their predictions/claims based on "sources" and they become free of blame. It's a good tool for them because it has become accepted as common practice in the various media outlets.

Yes because perjury is something you you just laugh at. Maybe its his way of getting back at him for the stupid uncapped year penalty. Maybe its not Goodell but someone else in the know but he always gets the info he needs before he makes a high risk decision.

That would be the market if not for his off field issues.

all it takes is one team to act as though the charges getting dropped = a not guilty verdict or that there was no evidence at any point to show he was anything more than a victem of blackmail and he'll get offered that. and fwiw, many posters here have said both of these things. obviously no one here runs an NFL team, but like the draft, all it takes is one team to drive the price up.

I hope we go all in for Hardy. Game changer and price should be lowered atm. I'm thinking 10-12 per.

If we get Hardy there is a strong possiblity we go DT hard in the draft. We have a bunch of okay bodies but no real studs.

Not everyone is willing to play for Jacksonville.

jmo, i would be suprised if Hardy did not go to the highest bidder. especially given his circumstances, he likely would take that as a sign that they have faith in him, and are willing to pay him his "true value."

Good news if true. Would like to see some more smoke before I buy into this rumor.
