This is just speculation on my part, but if the Cowboys leaked to Hill that we are not in negotiations with Winston to play Right Tackle, it makes me think that we are not in negotiations with anyone to play Right Tackle. Otherwise it would be to the Cowboys benefit to have this out there, as it would bring the price down on anyone else they are talking to.

this new cap is pretty hardcore and teams aren't spending what they did prior to this cba.

my guess is this was winston's agent leaking things to the media. he may have even called dallas to gauge interest and asked what they'd sign him for today. even if they say we'd only go vet minimum that can be considered a negotiation....

dallas doesnt need to leak anything. there are a handful of quality RTs in this draft and a handful still looking for work. they also get cap relief june 2nd. and they have doug free to negotiate with on a salary reduction once the market is set at RT.

Instant gratification, we all prefer it. Moore and Winston would be great. It would make me feel better if we secure both today. However, waiting is the best thing we can do. Clabo sounds expensive which is why atl couldn't keep him. I'm going to have to trust Jerry and company on making the right decision on Free. Mainly because I have no choice.

Uh, if we sign Winston and Parnell is the swing tackle, Free has no value to the team.

We WILL need the money, because there's something called signing your draft picks.

Draft picks taken care of by Spears being a June 1 cut, but I can't see Free being kept if they bring in Winston or Clabo.
