He may/may not be overrated. But one thing for sure, he walks in here a starter and puts either Church or Wilcox on the bench. That sounds like a big upgrade to me and instantly makes our defense better.

If he can't play he's not s upgrade and at his age you never know. Church may not be a great cover guy but he's not useless out there. He plays the run well.

Sadly the Raiders are amassing a nice team. Young good QB, Stud WR, PassRusher (Mack). They went from 3-13 to 7-9. Granted it is all perspective, but the Raiders wont be the default punchline for lung

Haha, yeah. I really don't understand the Church obsession. It's funny. No idea why we show nepotism toward our own guys like that.

You could cut Church and use that same cash to get a vet like Reggie Nelson at FS on a 1 year deal who had as many picks as our entire defense combined last year, put Byron at SS. That way you aren't tied to him in case they feel Ramsey is the best guy on the board.

I like Weddle too but I don't know how many years I want to be tied to him. Regardless, we could upgrade at 4.25 mill if we really wanted too.
