Losing Romo and Dez will do that.We on the other hand are stuck in a fast closing window.

It depends on the price. I like Weddle but we probably won't be getting the 2011-2013 Weddle. Don't want to overspend on a declining player.
I'm starting to wonder do people get paid to invest this much time in hate. Lol.
Too me, March 9th was the start of the new year. It is when FA begins and last year is officially over. As bad as it was last year, it got us the 4th pick. WAS, PHI and NYG didn't do much better in the big picture.
If you can't be positive for FA and the Draft there isn't much else to hope for until August.
It is easy to get excited for FA and draft. It is also is easy to get frustrated when we see the team having several huge need areas and you don't feel that they are doing much to improve them. Signing a bunch of our own players that have been average at best when we see other players that are considered "better" going to other teams for prices that we could have afforded.
Keeping McClain, Hanna, Claiborne, Brown and Wilber hardly moves the needle. Claiborne has been a complete bust for 4 years....so let's resign him? Hanna was supposed to be a mismatch in the passing game with uncommon speed for a TE. He has developed into a good blocker but isn't a factor in the passing game.....that is worth almost 3m per year? Really? Wilber is a special teams guy that really has never found a spot in the defense....the kind of guy that gets replaced every year by a late rounder or UDFA. For vet minimum and a small bonus he is a good deal. Much more than that and it's another *** moment. McClain for up to $5m, isn't necessarily a bad deal, but for a guy that has needed incentive to play it seems like we have taken the one thing that motivates him away. The fact that Carr remains on this roster with his current cap number is impossible to justify. He was ranked as one of the worst starting corners in the league....yet we can't get rid of him to add some $$$ to our cap space? Inconceivable.
The one outside free agent we did sign is a nice pickup and does seem like a big upgrade over the incumbent. The price is pretty decent......a starter with a first year cap number of 2.25m. Sounds good to me. We still haven't done anything to address all the other needs: CB, S, DE, backup C, WR comp, backup QB, LB, RB.
I can honestly see our re-signed free agents having almost no impact on the bottom line. So wouldn't it have been better to maybe target another potential difference maker or two? Lamar Miller is one that I think would have made a big difference for the offense. We could have saved the money we spent on Hanna and probably Wilber and fit his first year contract in the same space, maybe even less. Ayers, a pass rusher with some skins on the wall goes for 3 yrs, 21m....pretty reasonable in comparison to some. Junior Galette on the cheap might add a little pass rushing juice....he is coming off an Achilles so there is risk but he did have double digit sacks his last two years before injury.....and probably has a chip on his shoulder.
I know that free agency isn't the end all be all and shouldn't be how you build your team, however it should be designed to supplement the draft. We go into the draft with huge needs at CB, S, DE, RB, QB and minor needs at multiple positions. It would have been nice to knock one or two of those out of the "need" category.
How are the schools by Arlington?
well cowboys are behaving like money is big issue.

No need to go last 20. How about the last 10 years or so? Something far more recent than 20 years ago. How is 7-9 close to the playoffs lol? You'd rather be the Raiders right now is what you're saying? Are you serious? If you say its because of what they CAN become fair enough. But you can't sit here with a legit argument for how the Raiders that were ran even WORSE than were in the 2000's as not a train wreck lol. They were the definition of a train wreck. They have one good year and now they are back on top. Or not even one good year. One semi-bad year. But our 12 win year means nothing lol.
Cap hell syndrome, as they don't want to go back to it.
I'm starting to wonder about fans who talk about other fans but have never invested anything!!! TV fan, internet fan, $7.99 Walmart hat guy.
When you've spent over 35 years being a diehard. Either watching or being at both home and away games, a few times with season tickets without ever missing one. Then You take time and spend money to go to off season club functions, charity fund raisers, and media events, you begin to laugh at guys who have no idea why you are disheartened by the state of the team for the past 20 years.
STOP with the not caring about two decades of of losing garbage. Some of us hate the fact that our owner stated that it's ok if we haven't won because our entertainment value is the best in the world. We used to care about winning more than entertaining. You talk about the 12-4 season and if it mattered. Yes it mattered. But your favorite guy thought he could do it again by himself by making dumb changes that hurt the team. The same way he hurt the team when he fired Jimmy. He's too prideful to let the coaches do their job when they start winning, so he steps in and does stupid things. Why? Because he knows that fans like you will blindly follow quietly regardless of winning or losing. For that matter, fans like me too. Because we keep filling his pockets. I'm just not quiet though lol. I come to places like this to express my frustration. If it bothers you so much, don't read our comments. #happyday!!!!

Again, if it were only "1" bad year you might be on to something. But we are 0-20 dude in past 20 years. ZERO anything. A couple wildcard wins. It's laughable. Not even a NFC championship. We are one of a very few teams to be able to say that. Of hats not a team wreck, you're smokin something
I hate to be that guy that tells someone to joint another fanbase but I wonder why do fans put themselves through so much frustration.....like is ti really worth it lol. Why spend the money or time on this organization? The organization isn't leaving the Jones family anytime soon.
Who's my favorite guy? And what did he do to hurt the 12 win team? He injured Romo and Dez?
And btw, I never said it bothered me watching fans be negative and bitter all the time. Its amusing and funny. Well some of them are. The funny ones are. But then there's the old, bitter, miserable fans that are the ones that suck lol. At least be amusing when you hate is all I want lol.
No not at all. No time soon. I get excited at this time of the year.
But the Raiders haven't won a championship since 1983.......but they are the model franchise and we are...the train wreck lol. Ok.
You want last year or last 20? They have been to more playoffs and championships than we have in that span. Last year Oakland started to head up. Good nucleus on offense . A super stud defensive player. And now they are adding key pieces at the right spots. They were close to playoffs last year at 7-9. And will take the next step this year.
We on the other hand are stuck in a fast closing window.
I have no interest in Weddle. 1) He's an older declining player who will still probably command a healthy salary at multiple years and 2) making this kind of move would more than likely mean a win now 1st round pick in the draft. If you're of the mindset to pay 5 million a year on a multi year deal for a 31 year old safety it's safe to say you're pretty focused on going all in to win now. We aint got no time for a QB.
Don't like it. Don't think it's thewhiteright move to make.
I expect a radical shift of opinion on this move after everyone gets a chance to read this.
You don't think it would make it more likely we draft a QB in the 1st? I see it as we're definitely taking Ramsey if we don't make any more moves in the secondary before the draft. And Ramsey is the last person I want us taking. I'd prefer Wentz, Goff, Bosa, Tunsil, Buckner, or trade back over Ramsey. We could still sign Weddle, draft a SS like Joseph or Neal in the 3rd, and still take a QB in the 1st.
