Cowboys interested in Petrus

I've read that he'll be a 3rd round pick, not a 2nd round pick. In my opinion, I think we should be realistically targeting Maurkice Pouncey and Kyle Wilson with the 27th pick.

Well, it's no secret that I like this guy better the Iupati. I think he's going to be a heck of a Football Player in the NFL. I'd actually rather see us take him in the 2nd or 3rd round. Wherever Dallas has him valued, I'm fine with him being taken with the pick.

The only thing we know (or we think we know) is that he's not a first-rounder. After that, I'm never surprised by who gets taken higher than their stock and who falls.

Haven't heard that much about him other than his crazy bench numbers. Why ya like him? I'm trying to find some tape on him.

I only have one concern about him and that's his playing strength. He's not a mauler.

Other than that, he's got great feet, a great attitude, doesn't have a fat-man build, hustles, works hard, is intelligent.

Abilitywise, I think he's a lot like Doug Free, but he just doesn't have much experience playing on the offensive line.

Gotcha, first guy that came to my mind was Kyle Kosier. I've read that Petrus might be the best pulling lineman in this entire draft. I've seen Kosier pull a lot during the year, so I guess it's something the Cowboys covet.

I think Kosier's a decent comparison from the standpoint of his ability to pull and get downfield. I think he has more power than Kosier, although he's got to learn how to use it right (as did, or does, Free), and his body build reminds me more of Free.

I believe Free was also a former tight end, like Petrus.
