Cowboys lose all my respect if they....Sign TO *MERGED*

They have more holes than any team in the east. It's not just about getting healthy for them. They need to be active in FA, unless they plan on their 7 second day draft picks having a big impact this year. Philly needs ALOT of work.:)

Hey I hope your right...We'll see.

after he scores his first TD he kneels down by the star and kisses it?
No.

Owens is a first-class wide receiver with an low class mentality.

To this day, I still wish that George Teague had a cleaner shot at him.

well, I look at it like this. This is T.O's last shot. Most of the teams don't want to touch him with a ten foot pole. He has to behave unless he wants to retire prematurely.

I doubt any team would sign him to more than 1-year contract and he's probably aware of that. Give him the one year to show he's no longer a nutcase. If he succeeds, then fine, we add another playmaker to an already potent O and he'll have positioned himself for a decent contract from some team after the season. If he fails, then who cares, he's gone after the season. If he starts making with the doofusness in the middle of the season, who cares, we can suspend him like TB did and we've still got quality receivers in Keyshawn, Glenn, and Crayton who were pretty productive last year without his presence.

the thing I see with TO is his lack of respect towards higher authority...the thing is, he hasn't had an old, respected coach like BP yet

Well as I sit here I think maybe, just maybe we should sign this bozo. If we are going to be in the race we can't sit back and not get a difference maker at WR. TO is one of the best in the game and maybe one of the best in the games history. He is a first class jerk but he can play. I am still not convinced we should sign him but I can be bought. :D

I agree. BUT... we need to address other issues TOO otherwise its all for not.

Bill Parcells doesn't care about Cowboy history or what TO has done in the past with regard to this franchise.

Jerry is so hungry to win and I think, also to satisfy his ego, that he'd sign Osama bin Laden if he thought it would help the team.

This is why I have more and more of a problem getting psyched about football with each passing season.

Landry and Schramm wouldn't have traded for, or signed, a TO equivalent.

Both guy's entire lives were built around the Dallas Cowboys.

Yeah yeah, I know, I'm stuck in the past.

Both those of you who lived through those years understand where I'm coming from.

Relax man. It's just a crazy rumor from Extremeskins.

If I were a betting man, I'd say TO doesn't come to Dallas, even though I think he'd vastly improve our offense.

I just don't think Bill has it in him to deal with players like that now.

Dude, what are you talking about? Just a crazy rumor? :laugh2:

Yeah, he started the thread because I posted some rumor I read at Extremeskins that was unverified. It was just some Cowboys fan over at ES who claimed the Dallas radio jock was saying he heard from "sources" that Bill and Rosenhaus had already come to an agreement during their famous meeting last week and that Dallas was simply waiting for TO's release. Nothing verified, just another crazy rumor.

Amen! :shades:

With the Commanders now having Moss, Cooley, Randel El and Brandon Lloyd they are going to be dangerous even with Brunell at QB. Sure they are going to have other problems probably on D because of some of the guys the have cut or will be forced to cut. WE HAVE TO SIGN T.O. There is no way we'll be able to compete with them and the Giants if we don't add a lightening rod playmaker to our offense. So get used to the idea people regardless of your feelings we need T.O. if we think we're going to go anywhere next year.

You are so right. All the Cowboy fans I talk to in person are disgusted that T.O. might be a Cowboy. It's amazing that there's so many who would want that Cowboy hater!!

Anybody want to come to the tattoo parlor and get "sign T.O" tattoos with me?

lol, i've read about it so much for MONTHS now, its already imprinted in my mind, might as well have one to match on my arm.

btw: im all for it, and i hope it happens soon so i can stop seeing sign t.o threads

I really do think it's all about experience and perspective.

I'd be willing to bet that if we held a poll for those who have been watching this team for 15 years or more vs those watching 15 or less, the more experienced fans would be far more against the signing of TO than the less experienced fans.

Neither is right or wrong. It's all a matter of perspective.
