Dan the Man!
Surprised about Durant, but I guess the options were limited.
It would certainly have been Scandrick if not for the suspension

My maturity as a person and a fan has brought me to a different level of understanding. When we won 3 SBs in 4 years...and the 1 year we did not go we were in the NFC title game...it felt like we would be what New England is today. And that brings me to this point...I understand that you will not win it ever year. But when you are built right...you can be in the conversation year in and year out. Right now we are in the conversation of 8-8. Because .500 is what we have been since we last won. So for me it is not about the Super Bowl ever year...it is about running the football organization...like a real football organization. And because the money is bigger than it ever has been...and because Jerry creates an environment that feels more like entertainment...as opposed to football...it is more important than EVER...to have leaders. Leaders that still feel like WINNING is the #1 priority. Because sadly to say...I realized not too long ago...that WINNING is not Jerry's #1 priority...he talks a good game...he spends money...but I don't think he would have any fun trying to win ANYONE else's way but his own. And so we are stuck with him trying to win HIS way...which again necessitates the need for strong leaders on this team.I'm not really sure how to answer that question because off the top of my head I can't say I've read many quotes, if any, of Jason being this great leader. I am sure some have but I don't recall.
My opinion of him is just reading how charitable he is & of course seeing how great a player he has been.
I get what you are saying though. I've said many times I envy fans who got to see the really great Cowboy teams. It must have been a lot of fun to watch those guys rolling to those SB's,
I'm not sure Scandrick being a captain would have pleased me any more.

So you were going to be upset regardless. Got it.
I stand corrected. I always thought it was 2/2/1 because that's the format most teams use. I would have name Dez a captain atleast 2 years ago then
Dez would be a captain, but the two offensive captain spots are locked up and aren't changing anytime soon.
Either way, the whole captain thing is an internal system of reward. It doesn't affect the product on the field and it doesn't affect the fans.
Justin Durant is a team captain.
Lord help us.
What possible difference does it make that he's a captain?
NO OL? NO DEZ?
WTH
It means the team is completely devoid of veteran talent when a JAG like Durant is a team captain.

The team votes and the best men are selected. Which is what happened this year. People are in dream world about Dez being a captain ever. It would be like making TO captain. After Wit and Romo are gone Dez will still not be a captain ...that is if he is still around.

I don't agree with your current assessment on Dez.
I believe he has tangibly matured since his first days in the NFL, but I respect your opinion on the matter and your sticktuitiveness on it.
I have no reason to simply dismiss you on this.
