They've really had our number.
They have? Didn't we sweep them the last two years?

There were two. 1982 and 1987 seasons. 1987 was played with replacement players for 3 games. 1982 we lost 7 games and only played 9.
I knew you would! Some of the poster weren't even a glimmer in there mama's eyes back then!
Was it only me that watched Dallas avg 3 sacks and 3 turnovers per game after they went man defense? Dallas defense gave the offense 3 1/2 quarters to put that gb game away. The offense didn't do its part. And gb is too good to go a whole game and not score pts.
It's sickening how little faith fans have for this team. That's just my 2 cents
I don't know there are still a couple of guys that we might be able to get for dirt cheap that have something left in the tank:
Michael Johnson had 17.5 sacks between 2011-2012, he's had 2 subpar years in a row, but might be able to rebound if put in the right program, and will likely come cheap.
Adrian Clayborn was really good in college, but hasn't be able to stay healthy in the pros. Might be worth kicking the tires there.
Kroy Biermann isn't much in pass rush, but is pretty good as a run stopper, and probably an upgrade over Spencer.
Without much looking I came up with those guys... all DEs... all COULD add something to our system for the right amount. I think at this point the Cowboys are just looking to get diamonds in the rough, and don't want to risk finding some coal in a diamond mine... or something like that.
Not only are you correct, it is 5 of the last 6 games Dallas is the winner. You would think an actual Cowboys fan would know that.
What type defense was Johnson last playing in when he played so poorly that he was cut one year into his contract?
It's worse than you thought, even this guy is gone.
How does a run stopping DE Help our pass rush problem?
John Abraham is a sack machine who missed almost all of last year with concussion issues, with the right contract it might be worth kicking his tires and have him rotate in.
I believe he retired.
Nothing personal, but it looks like you need to look even harder.
I cant say I know why they aren't into Hardy but I imagine it's a combination of both him wanting way to much money and they're not liking what they're finding out about his off the field issues.
I largely got this from Walterfootball... so I suppose he needs to look even harder. Abraham said he's coming back for 2015. Biermann wouldn't help our pass rush problems but that wasn't the only area we struggled in last year. Not sure about Johnson's defense but my guess is it was just a bad year, he's still just 2 years removed from a 11.5 sack season though. And I didn't mention Freeney, who I am not as wild about but was an elite player not that long ago. I think any of these guys are easily comparable to what we had last year, and a few are far better.

Nothing personal friend, but this is dumpster diving.
Johnson played in this very same Tampa 2 run by Lovie Smith last year, and he was so bad in it, the Bucs are paying $7 million for him not to play for them.
I've seen it as 50-50 that Abraham comes back at all, and even then it's likely for the Cardinals. And even if he does, he's another knock yo the head (playing defensive line) away from call it quits for sure.
Outside of Hardy, there's just nothing there, no matter how hard you squint.
HARDY PROBABLY IS NOT THERE. WE ARE NOT SPENDING $15/YEAR FOR A GUY THAT HAS MORE RED FLAGS THAN A GAME OF MINECRAFT. SO PLEASE STOP THINKING ABOUT HIM. Sorry for the caps, but you just aren't getting it.
Yeah, you're bringing up guys that are signed elsewhere and retired, but "I'm not getting it!"

1 guy who signed elsewhere, and 1 guy that has said he is coming back for 2015 (not retired). I am sorry I didn't know that Clayborn signed elsewhere, the websites I checked hadn't put it there, but still you can't say Hardy is the only guy you want, when you stand no chance of outbidding the Raiders to get him. The Raiders just gave Will Allen $5/year, how much do you think they will give a good player?

Here's a bit more news you didn't know. Raiders owner Mark Davis said that they're absolutely not signing him.

You really like harping every time I am wrong don't you? This still doesn't get to the issue at hand, we have lost nobody that can't be replaced and we were a 12-4 team (not a 6-10 team like you felt we would be) last season or the issue that Hardy will get paid big by someone and has more red flags than a communist parade (felt like switching it up).
