Cowboys 'No' on Hardy

Mike Fisher is not reporting this. Mark Lane is the author. And it's an opinion based read. Everything exclusive Fisher posts is opinion based by writers from Dallas scout site. Everything reported by Fisher is free to read. Fisher endorses that site so he puts it on his twitter

Just heard Fish on 105.3 the fan say he spoke with a higher up, and he is out of price range. (I know hes unreliable but thats what he said) He also said that they think his time being a bad guy isn't over, according to who he spoke with. Said maybe next week if he were to get into the 3rd tier, meaning cheaper as the weeks go by, maybe.

We all will have to suffer through the sins of bad contract after bad contract for the forseable future I guess!! :banghead:

Nothing new there. Dallas has said that from the start. Fisher reported that last week before fa started

I am wondering just what the Cowboys consider to be in their price range? Why rework Tyron's contract if we are signing no one really?

Because before the restructure Dallas only had 300k in cap room. Need to sign draft picks

I figured this. I didn't think he'd get this much attention. contract will be more then I thought or most people did.

Maybe next week in tier 3?

That is when we are going to address the pass rush?

Wow, and freaking McFadden is the cherry on top..........................EPIC FAIL offseason so far.

I keep wondering the same thing. The market is now dried up.

I don't understand all the surprise of Dallas not signing anybody to significant money deals. Stephen said this was the plan. Did people not believe him or just ignore him?

If he ends up getting anywhere in the neighborhood of $12,000,000 I will agree with this, even at $10,000,000 I would consider him a high risk guy, especially if he is suspended at all this year. I wouldn't have been mad if we had signed him, no matter the cost, but I can't be mad at us not signing a guy who beats women and expects a huge payday.

Apparently anything over 1 million guaranteed is out! My guess here.

That isn't true. The Cowboys had 3 million before the restructure and 11 million after.

We're not improved in any way from last year but worse in all possible areas.

It has been nothing but a loss to this point.

And there's little to no pass rush help coming this year from the draft, even if they somehow get a great one at #27, rookies never have a big pass rushing impact.

Who remembers the strike in the 80's?

It's starting to look like we might be looking for used car salesman and insurance salesman on defense!

LatinMind is correct. It was down to 300k before the restructure.

Frees contract was agreed to but not signed at that time. Once he signed, our cap dropped down to 300k.

We had 8.1mil of space before McFaddens deal was signed.

Ok, thanks for the clarification!

Was it only me that watched Dallas avg 3 sacks and 3 turnovers per game after they went man defense? Dallas defense gave the offense 3 1/2 quarters to put that gb game away. The offense didn't do its part. And gb is too good to go a whole game and not score pts.

It's sickening how little faith fans have for this team. That's just my 2 cents

There were two. 1982 and 1987 seasons. 1987 was played with replacement players for 3 games. 1982 we lost 7 games and only played 9.

I don't know there are still a couple of guys that we might be able to get for dirt cheap that have something left in the tank:

Michael Johnson had 17.5 sacks between 2011-2012, he's had 2 subpar years in a row, but might be able to rebound if put in the right program, and will likely come cheap.

Adrian Clayborn was really good in college, but hasn't be able to stay healthy in the pros. Might be worth kicking the tires there.

Kroy Biermann isn't much in pass rush, but is pretty good as a run stopper, and probably an upgrade over Spencer.

John Abraham is a sack machine who missed almost all of last year with concussion issues, with the right contract it might be worth kicking his tires and have him rotate in.

Without much looking I came up with those guys... all DEs... all COULD add something to our system for the right amount. I think at this point the Cowboys are just looking to get diamonds in the rough, and don't want to risk finding some coal in a diamond mine... or something like that.
