So what's the plan here? Bring in a bunch of 'cheap' bargains?

The FO was feeling themselves way too much after letting Ware and Hatcher go. There's a difference between paying players at the end of their careers a big contract and in not paying your best talent. What's next? Let Dez go next year too and replace him with a couple of guys on the practice squad?

What best talent have they let go of aside from Demarco? I wanted Bruce Carter and Demarco back but I can't say they aren't replaceable. Hitchens made Bruce Carter expendable. Demarco.....well this offensive line made him expendable. I'm more so disappointed in not bringing in a few of these vets out here but I don't know what prices they are commanding. This team was built through the draft and developing players and i'm not against going for that again.

I just hope there isn't a form or cockiness or arrogance going on here from the organization. Because while all they did was bring in McClain, McClan, Mincey and Henry Melton last year....that looks superior to what they are going to do this offseason.

And last year the same guys who look better then what we are doing "so far" this offseason were huge question marks. You can't tell what's going to happen with this team in March.

Why do you claim she is the victim? That shows bias. Without knowing the facts, you cannot call her that.

Where did you get a copy of the testimony?

And why is it that she is clearly paid off? Because an embarrassed prosecutor, that apparently had nothing else to go on, said so?

She was clearly the victim of an assault. Docs/nurses confirm that
I didn't call her innocent but I am also pretty sure she didn't bruise choke herself with Hardy sized hands.

As to the pay off just stop. No one is this stupid. Her story is worth 6 figures to TMZ yet she (a waitress when Hardy met her) can not only ignore them but also can afford skiing in colorado and trips to shop in NYC? The reason there is no firm evidence is almost certainly because she was paid to not talk about it. Her attorney was a civil attorney who "closed" the case before the actual trial. Why? Because his job was finished whenever whatever paperwork was signed was complete. He got his cut and almost certainly so did she.

Why has no one in Hardy's camp denied a pay off? Because they can't. If there was no pay off they'd be screaming that into microphones non-stop.

As to the testimony, google it. Its been in the Carolina papers plenty.
We have the parts Hardy's camp released. --again why can they release stuff but the other side can't? --almost certainly because of a settlement.

Hardy is likely not a terrible guy but he does have some behavioral risks to account for and Dallas doesn't generally sign those types of guys to more than minimum wage deals.

Why does a prosecutor suggest their was a pay off? Because he actually went to school and understands the legal system and the process and is bitter about it.

RKG does not mean choir boys, RKG is a guy that loves football, loves his team mates and works his butt off. You unlike a lot of the dead weight this team was saddled with in the past.

Thank you for being the official definer of the acronym "RKG". I'm sure coach Garrett appreciates you keeping folks straight on what he means by that term.

So far they have let Carter, Durant, Melton, Harris, Parnell and Murray go. Now, I understand all of them. Most got too much money in FA and had to be let go. But, it still weakened the team and we have done nothing to strengthen it. We were contenders last year. But we are sitting here like the personnel losses mean nothing. Most of the teams that contended in the conference have improved or maintained and we have digressed. The Seahawks added Graham. The Packers look to be about the same so far. The Lions and the Cowboys are the two teams that have gotten worse thus far.

If Romo and Witten were younger, that would not concern me as much. But they have few years left. We are acting like we have only a few holes and time to improve. Our window is closing and we are sitting on our hands and watching free agency pass us by.

You can let a few of your pieces go like Harris or Durant, but when guys like Carter and Murray are gone and you have no real replacement, then that creates a problem. Carter is a deal better than HItchens, especially when Lee and McClain went out. McClain isn't signed and there's no guarantee that he could be. Melton wasn't that great, but he's gone. Spencer is gone. Sterling Moore is gone.

Dez is franchised, so he's not even guaranteed to be here for the long haul. Supposedly the Cowboys aren't going to sign Hardy either... so we lost one of our homerun hitters and the face of our offense last year and a solid LB, and yet we're going to bring in a bunch of 'bargains'. We went from big daddy warbucks in Jerry to scrooge mcduck in stephen. Seems like the FO thinks they are the patriots.

Those pieces are replaceable though. All of them. The Seahawks are not crying over losing Byron Maxwell. Why? Because they'll find another one. The same reason they didn't cry when they lost Browner...because they can go and find a Maxwell. Those guys were successful here for us but Melton and Durant were both hurt a large part of last year, Harris was a special teams Ace, Bruce Carter was inconsistent but got it going towards the end of the season and Parnell was solid depth at right tackle.

Seahawks TRADED For Jimmy Graham. Playing this free agency game....understand that its full of players that other teams don't want. There are exceptions. Like a Suh or a Revis. Those guys are gone. We see it year after year. These same teams like the Deadskins, Eagirls and Raiders go into free agency they get solid talent that other teams didn't want to overpay for and a year later everyone wonders why they underachieved.

I'm not going to sit here and tell everyone to be patient because I myself am pass that. But the 2015 season wasn't dependent on any of these free agents. We just needed to make sure we kept the core of our team intact, draft well and for our players to continue progressing. Hopefully for this teams sake guys like Claiborne step up and a guy like Sean Lee becomes healthy.

And last year the same guys who look better then what we are doing "so far" this offseason were huge question marks. You can't tell what's going to happen with this team in March.

Right but that's playing a VERY risky game simply going into the offseason and picking up "suspect" or questionable talents and relying on those pieces to help win you games. Very risky.

You can let a few of your pieces go like Harris or Durant, but when guys like Carter and Murray are gone and you have no real replacement, then that creates a problem. I don't disagree but this is the NFL. You can't hold on to everyone. Lions wanted Suh back. Its the gift and a curse of drafting well. You're going to lose players but its up to you to find their replacements. I believe the Cowboys have done a decent job of that. They lost Bruce Carter and Demarco and IMO as of right now I think they have their replacements waiting in the wings in Hitches and as far as RB's go, Ryan Williams, Dunbar and Randle. These guys aren't irreplaceable pieces. Dez Bryant is. Romo is.

I stole this quote and am not exactly sure of the source. All credit to the source, my apologies.

"A Right Kind of Guy is not a "choirboy" or "goody-two-shoes". Having character problems may indicate you aren't a RKG, but it doesn't mean you aren't an RKG. An RKG is a leader. Someone who puts football and team first, and plays with intensity and passion."

So, you guys were right, but I wasn't exactly wrong.

If this is the case, however, what possible excuse could there be for not going after Hardy?

You like making stuff up and inserting it for truth. Your deductions are hardly exhaustive and heavy on unknowable assumptions.

I see lots of cheap, but not many bargains so far.

Why didn't he pay her off before the bench trial? He was still rich and she was still thirsty.

So I really don't wanna try and read through all the legal stuff in this thread but at any point was it ever confirmed we are not interested or just Fishers opinion?

Other than Fisher, no one else has confirmed it. Hopefully he is wrong.

Did Fisher actually quote a source or is he talking to liquor store clerk?

I can't read the article because it is behind a paywall that I am not paying, but as far as I know, he did not quote a source. At least not by name.

Barry Church on 103.3 today said this about Greg Hardy: "He's definitely going to get his second chance. Hopefully it'll be with us."

Listen to the man, Jerry or Stephen or whomever is running things now.
