Since schedules are not balanced, how would seeding be changed, unless you do away with divisions? And the first four teams that would adamantly be against that are the four NFC East teams. It is unfortunate that the Cowboys have put together a tremendous roster right when another team in the division has as well.

Just like NBA revamped a few years ago. Winning division still qualifies but seedings are by record.

Some of us who’ve been around awhile realize that the difference in talent between teams is negligent. Now Mahomes makes the Chiefs elite, but even they can be beat. You get lucky with injuries, the new coaches produce and the new players contribute. Many fans believe their teams have a chance. That’s not being a homer. You just say that to make yourself feel better. What it is is knowing that in the NFL anything can happen.

While I also added we are a solid playoff contender and if could win division become a SB contender but not headed into season with our recent history and trends without knowing how it plays out.

Come December or January my outlook could change .

It was a great time, a great era, Cowboys fans early 90s were loving the experience.

So long story short, there was this one guy that would always show up in the packed house wearing a jersey with every team logo on it.

We gave that guy total torment, every band wagon name in the book.

Like I said in my OP , they’ll need to win the division and get some home playoff games IMO to become a more serious SB contender.

No one can really know until we see how the season plays out which is a big part of my view.

I watch as many as I can, but Cowboys are my primary objective on game day.
I only get upset if Im too slow clicking back to the Boys and miss a play.

He's been building solid teams for the past 27 years. Jerry was good back when there was no salary cap (pre 1996) and he could buy talent. Since then, drafting players became more import....Jerry has done zilch. Jerry is an egotist who thinks he's the smartest man in the room, and his results show.

I mean I get it but they are more than a playoff contender. The Lions are a playoff contender. This team is coming off 2 back to back 12 win seasons ……and they got better. Now is the time.

I think we're a better team than we were last year. Does that mean SB? No. Does it mean no SB? No. It just means I think we're a better team than we were last year, and I'm gonna ride that pony as far as he'll take me! LOL
We've had back to back 12W seasons and I'm optimistic that we can win at least 13 games, and win our division. Anything beyond that is just icing on the cake.

If we were being picked to win our division I might lean more to that. And like I said if we do win division then are elevated .

Until further evidence I just don’t see this team winning 3 playoff games on the road but anything is possible. But it’s why I come up short with the SB hype.
