Gallup is decent....good sideline catches put him on the map. Steele will be fine....need to improve his lower body strength. I had a friend play for the Bears for years and he didn't have ACLs in either leg, but he could squat close to 800 pounds
I hope you see the humor here... Israel literally means, 'One who struggles with god.'
In comparison, Dallas Cowboys Fan does not mean someone who struggles with Jerry. :starspin:

I wish I could find a way to disagree with a persuasive argument based on statistical information and other facts. All I can say is let's give the two rookies a little more time. I'm still hoping Gallup can recover some consistency

I don't entirely agree with everything you are saying but I completely understand why you could come to those conclusions.
Vaughn and Schoonmaker are both 'rooks' and get their transitional time even if that carries into next season.

Dak is about right imo. Average as usual
60 or so is considered average in PFF systems, you can tell by a players grade is color coordinated.
a 75.6 is well above average, and he'd likely have an 80+ grade if not for the San Fran game.

I think Brandin Cooks grade raises, and I think our offensive line grades a bit better as Zach Martin has time to rest his leg.

Terrence Steele and Michael Gallup have to be the most disappointing numbers out of the bunch. Pollard as well.

Tyler Smith is doing alright for a guard who's wearing #73 and shouldn't even be in the league.
Tony is a full yard off his YPA from last year.

He’s clearly done as a starter.

That injury wrecked his career.

That, and I don't think that the offensive scheme for run downs is suited to how he is most effective running the football. They don't run to the edges enough - too much up the middle.
Good point. To watch them just run up the middle and get stuffed over and over again and just completely ignore the edges is annoying.

I don't know if deuce can play or not but his opportunities haven't been ideal. He's a space player that is in an offense that runs up the gut
Pollard is too. He can run up the gut and do it quite well, when he's primarily used on the edges and the gut is the exception and not the rule.

Starters in bold
  1. Jake Ferguson – 70.1 (278 snaps) #12 out of 69 TE
  2. Luke Schoonmaker – 40.7 (143 snaps) #65 out of 69 TE
Dalton who?
Remember when TE was a burning need, and we just had to draft Schoonmaker in the 2nd?

Starters in bold
  1. Rico Dowdle – 70.5 (64 snaps)
  2. Tony Pollard – 66.4 (285 snaps) #31 out of 49 RB
  3. Hunter Luepke – 62.0 (58 snaps) #4 out of 11 FB
  4. Deuce Vaughn – 43.8 (48 snaps)
Good for Rico.
Not so good for Pollard. That one breakaway play I was very disappointed to see Pollard get caught from behind. Not looking like the same guy we've seen in prior years.
Like that we've got a good FB for free. Should only improve.
Time to cut Deuce and sign him to the practice squad.

No, BBDD, we shouldn't cut Deuce. Most of Deuce's very limited plays have come at the end of games while rushing behind our horrible run blocking. Get him an Oline who can open up some holes, everyone will see how good Deuce truly can be.

  3. Tyron Smith – 76.5 (239 snaps) #11 out of 73 OT
  4. Dak Prescott – 75.8 (385 snaps) #11 out of 35 QB
  5. KaVontae Turpin – 75.1 (54 snaps)
  6. Zack Martin – 75.0 (290 snaps) #7 out of 81 OG
  7. Rico Dowdle – 70.5 (64 snaps)
  8. Asim Richards – 70.1 (22 snaps)
  9. Jake Ferguson – 70.1 (278 snaps) #12 out of 69 TE
  10. Tony Pollard – 66.4 (285 snaps) #31 out of 49 RB
  11. Tyler Biadasz – 62.8 (295 snaps) #19 out of 38 C
  12. Hunter Luepke – 62.0 (58 snaps) #4 out of 11 FB
  13. Jalen Tolbert – 61.2 (150 snaps) #71 out of 112 WR
  14. Brock Hoffman – 61.1 (115 snaps)
  15. Chuma Edoga – 60.8 (256 snaps) #42 out of 73 OT
  16. Brandin Cooks – 59.7 (230 snaps) #76 out of 112 WR
  17. Michael Gallup – 59.6 (280 snaps) #77 out of 112 WR
  18. Sean McKeon – 56.5 (32 snaps)
  19. Jalen Brooks – 56.1 (20 snaps)
  20. Cooper Rush – 50.7 (24 snaps)
  21. T.J. Bass – 50.6 (159 snaps) #63 out of 81 OG
  22. Terence Steele – 50.3 (410 snaps) #64 out of 73 OT
  23. Deuce Vaughn – 43.8 (48 snaps)
  24. Peyton Hendershot – 41.0 (96 snaps)
  25. Luke Schoonmaker – 40.7 (143 snaps) #65 out of 69 TE
With Terence Steele rating so poor (50.3) while rookie Asim Richards has graded 20 points better (70.1), wouldn't it be smart to temporarily bench (or alternate start/play) Asim Richards for Terence Steele at Right Tackle?
