I think this goes way beyond a homeristic fan base in denial. There doesn't appear to be credible evidence he did anything. If that is the standard why even conduct an investigation? Just find him guilty and suspend him for the season without any investigation.
Many fans complained about Gregory getting hammered over and over before he ever got back on the field, but no one accused the NFL of fixing test results. It's different. Many people believe Gregory should get some liniency for various reasons but no one is denying his offenses occurred.
Zeke was not prosecuted, and more importantly there is ZERO doubt that his accuser threatened to ruin him and has zero credibility. If there is a video of Zeke abusing her, then her credibility is irrelevant. But absent something compelling (not he said-she said) this issue should never have been an issue.
