Sure but QB eats too much cap space to play like that, Defense is fixable, 8 year vet choking is not.
I know everyone is screaming garbage time....but they weren't playing prevent defense and they did score 32. If the defense would have done ANYTHING....I would have liked to see what would happen.

Sorry...I am so disgusted in the defense....at least Dak didn't give up. They wilted.

QBs of Dak’s caliber don’t get cut. They get extended, traded or they retire. It’s just a waste of time to entertain the idea. No franchise will willingly enter QB hell without SIGNIFICANT compensation. And if he was cut he’d immediately sign the largest FA deal in history with a team that believes they are a QB away.

Guys, Dak is not going anywhere. It's not just Jerry, even Stephen loves him some Dak.

This organization is stuck with the Joneses and I don't see any change in the horizon. We are the new Detroit, or Aints, or even Browns.

I used to ask "How old is Jerry" every year. Now I don't since I am 100% sure Stephen and Bros/Sister are even worse.

Yes...let's cut him and pick high in the draft for the foreseeable future. Great idea.

Literally just had an MVP type season and people want to cut him because of a pick 6...lol

How about we get a good defense that actually can get some stops so a few mistakes don't turn into people thinking this is a madden offseason?
Yes the defense sucked. But so did Dak. And it’s not about one pick 6. It’s about him not making plays when his team needs him in the post season. Yea it’s nice to win 12 games and the division but QB’s are judged by post season success. And Dak has barely any. He is what he is. Time to at least explore other options.

People are not wanting to cut him after one bad playoff performance.

They are wanting to cut him because of YEARS of bad playoff performances. The defense was bad tonight but Dak didn’t give his team a chance to win. At home against a team that was clearly not as good as them.
So weird. Where was the running game to help him? How many drops did they have?

Did the defense do anything to help?

Plus, we now have Hologram Jerry. So, his age is irrelevant.

One of the worst defenses in the league and Dak had zero yards passing in the first quarter.

Lol

Okie dokie

Doesn't even take into account the 2-3 giftwrapped int that GB dropped.

Guy was horrible tonight. No question about it
Also, it’s the playoffs. Refs usually let the players play in the playoffs. Thats a consistent them across the league.

You have to be able to play in that situation. Not expect the PI to bail out your Int.

Here is the thing that Dak has to understand that Brady did for the Pats. Brady took less money so the Pats could sign some FA to help him win many SBs. There were time where he could have been the highest paid player or at least qb but wasn’t. Now Dak has to figure what he wants to do

If and when Bill Bellichek comes here...it will be bc we have Dak.

These guys are all ready to place the entire game in him and literally a whole side of the team that was supposed to be our bedrock...wilted.

The argument Dak sucked but Defense sucked more is a false equivalency, the impact that the QB has on the probability that the team wins is far too impactful to be dismissed, the interceptions came back at the worst possible moment, they tried to fix him this year and this game proved it can not be done.

That does not mean that the Defense did not suck, we need to re vamp that unit, add a new DC, LBers and make it a priority to stop the run.

Nobody is going to offer just compensation if they believe you aren’t wanting to restore him and he could be a FA next year.

There is no scenario where your team isn’t significantly worse for several years to come if you trade or cut him this year. You’d be committing to a multi year rebuild, and teams just aren’t willing to do that. The closest any team has come in recent years is the Lions and they still got a competent starting QB along with a lot of picks in the deal.

Name a team won with rookie qb. Mahomes exception. Not drafting 25. You gotta suck for 2-3 years. That’s problem. Gotta tank.
Roethlisberger took his team to the AFC championship as a rookie.
Cj Stroud just won his first playoff game ever, had the best td/int ratio in the league this year.
Roger won the SB in his first year as a starter, he did have some game experience, just noting some qbs just have "it".
Brady won the SB in his second year, playing in only 1 game his first year, essentially a rookie in his second year.

No, the above didn't win a SB as a rookie, but I'll take getting nearly there over Dak's 1 playoff win every 3rd year....
