What did you think of Morris and Jackson tonight?

I really like how Morris looks in our system.

Elliot needs to get on the field. If he is a lot better than Morris then our offense could be something else.

just think the all pro lt and two starting tight ends didn't play.

neither did aaron donald though so I guess that cancels stuff out also.

2015: Randle, McFadden, Michael, Dunbar

2016: Elliott, Morris, McFadden, Jackson, Dunbar

No comparison.

Aaron Donald did play. Fred and Martin did an excellent job this game.

I thought Darius Jackson did very well on some runs and about average on others, although he probably needs to get more action when the OL is fresher to more accurately gauge his best level of performance. It seemed to me that by the time he got into the action, the OL was beginning to wear down. Perhaps it would prove interesting to see him get the advantage of performing earlier next week.

did he really? How did I miss that. I thought he was out.
I wasnt sure, but I watched that Dak highlight video and you see him getting faked out on that bootleg where Swaim dropped the pass. Also,From what Ive read, they only sat Quinn on defense.
Makes Daks performance even more impressive, considering how good that Rams defense is.

I keep Dunbar, speed is always good on an offense. I'd cut/trade McFadden. I liked what he gave us last year, but with the signing of Morris, and the drafting of Zeke, it's become useless to keep McFad. I mean, I like the guy, but this is a business and younger guys are always the guy you keep. I can't see us carrying more RBs than that.

I hope the Cowboys can net something in a trade for one of these guys. They're really overstacked at this position, while iffy at others.

You guys are sold on Jackson over McFadden?

I'm not sold yet.

Definitely take DMAC over Dunbar.

No contest.

Dunbar has never been more than a receiver.

We have plenty of those.

DMAC will look very different with Romo and Dez in.

Last year they keyed on him becuz he was the only offensive threat other than Witten.

Not now.

In fact. I hope Linehan lines up DMAC and Elliott in the same backfield like Felix Jones and DMAC in Arkansas.

Talk about play fakes and mayhem.

As Keith Jackson would say..

"Whoa Nelly"..

Wishbone set with Morris at FB, DMC at left HB and Zeke at right HB?

Oh my..

If we are going to really play smashmouth football..

Can the stacked I-formation be far off..?

Back in the old Landry Days of the mid 60s..

first they had Mel Renfro and Don Perkins do it..

then Dan Reeves and Walt Garrison..

then Calvin Hill and Ron Springs..

then Tony Dorsett and Duane Thomas..

then Moose and Emmitt Smith.

We have the backs..run them.

Alfred Morris runs more like a FB to me.

Get him on the field and either Elliott or DMAC and I think its all over with this OL.

Leaving backs in to pass protect makes alot of sense too..

as teams are going to get frustrated and blitz alot more to stop Romo and the running game this year.

Watch.

A 6th round pick making the team on potential over a proven player, former 1st round pick, that can still play....
No way.
How was he playing checkered?

Tough decisions to make at RB for sure. I still think its an uphill battle for Jackson in winning a spot over Dunbar and Mcfadden as well. He does have intriguing athleticism, but Mcfadden is proven and Dunbar is lightning in a bottle when hes healthy.

Myself I didn't see the speed that observers were saying Morris showed in camp. I wasn't that impressed. Rather see McFadden behind Zeke than him.

Yeah, I think Morris has more of a knack for finding daylight than anything resembling very impressive speed.

I thought he made something out nothing several times. Always positive yards even when nothing was there.

We might be the deepest team in the league at that spot, which can only be good for attaining our goal of keeping Romo healthy.
