So a rookie is going to be our featured back, seriously?

A rookie is going to pound defenses into submission, rack up the time of possession, stonewall blitzing linebackers in pass protection, catch 50 passes out of the backfield, and put up 1800 yards in the process?
One thing you will see is more carries from the backups. No back (even if we were to keep Murray) would see the kind of workload he got last year. No one will be putting up 1800 yards for the Cowboys next year or possibly ever again. After all, it was a historic season. But there is no reason to think a rookie couldn't be a part of the solution.

Good grief. The same people complaining now are the same ones who thought we'd win 4-6 games last year and the same ones who thought we were on a fast track to 8-8 after Thanksgiving.

Can I have some of what you are smoking.:D

i think we'll sign spiller and draft a solid RB. Lets see what happens tomorrow. As of right now we aren't as good as we were last year , thats obvious. Lets wait and see in may.

I hope you are right bro, I just think it is going to be very hard to replace Murray with a rookie or low end vets.

I guess time will tell.

We're looking to the draft.

Don't expect any splashes in FA.

We think Romo is going to be Superbowl caliber for the next 5 years.

Yeah because Murray was sure to do that for a 2nd year in a row.

How have we regressed and we haven't even made it 2 months past our last game? Some of you guys are comical.

We are still 2 months from the draft and another 2 from training camp. Chill out.

we have regressed no debating that. We lost 3 LBS(maybe McClain) , Our 3rd CB , KR and ST gunners (both harris and spillman) , and the offensive MVP of the year . How are we better ?

Can we eventually be better ? yes but RIGHT NOW we aren't..

What does it matter, if we're not playing games yet anyway? There's the rest of free agency and the draft in between now and the first practice of the season. We had every opportunity to lock up every single player we've lost, and we chose not to.

When the roster is set, if you're still unhappy complain about it then. Otherwise, you're just worrying about the fact that a work in progress doesn't look like a finished product yet. That's sort of the point of a work in progress. It takes time by definition.

we couldn't afford it all. We wanted Durant , Murray , and McClain back this much i know. Jerry said we wanted Murray but couldn't afford him. Im not saying its the wrong decision but it won't be easy just finding a guy you can trust. Its not complaining just saying the obvious. Yes as of now we've regressed and we have to see what happens.

Murray was pretty good for us as a rookie. Why can't a rookie in a deep rookie class do the same?

Exactly. We'll be fine.

I'm not against drafting a guy in the middle rounds and possibly kicking the tires on CJ Spiller. I'm tellin ya, any decent RB behind this line with some speed is going to be spectacular.

Seeing as how Durant missed 16 games in 2 years. Is now 30. Carter never showed much of anything outside of flashes and quit on the team twice in 2013. No big loss there at all.

So you wanted to pay Harris what NYG paid? No way. He wore down at the end anyways and became very ineffective as a return man.

Oh, and I hope you don't think Murray will actually repeat that performance in 2015. He will have a steep decline.

Again, you can't say a team has regressed 2 days into FA. 2 months before the draft.

you're underestimating team chemistry my friend. We aren't better right now . We'll agree to disagree.

That's just not true. We could readily afforded all of those players. We didn't want to overpay them. You should be pleased we didn't give in to the temptation.

Stating the obvious isn't complaining. Stating the obvious and ignoring the fact that every single signifiacnt addition we're intending to make hasn't happened yet is where the problem comes in. It's like complaining your cake tastes too soupy when you haven't even put the batter into the oven yet. Sure, it's obvious, but it's not real criticism. It's just nervous energy and impatience.
