Injuries, injuries, injuries, injuries every season.

What don't you stubborn knuckleheads understand about that? How did he turn out for the Cowboys this year? Admit you were wrong. Very simple.
You keep posting that despite the facts, and repeating it over and over doesn't change the facts. Again, he only missed 5 games in his 4 years in the NFL prior to this season

why release a player right now that a potential playoff opponent could pick-up and gain further insight into the offense?

I don't know how much insight he actually has, but good point.

Putting aside this part of the debate, it was a typical Jerry/Stephen bargain bin signing that many people on this board said was likely not going to move the needle.

He's injury-prone. Always getting injured. How did Washington turn out for the Cowboys this year? What a waste of a roster spot.

Admit it, you were wrong and still are wrong for defending him. Come on, you can do it. Just say, "OK, I was wrong," and all will be forgiven.

The obvious reason to release a player is to make a roster spot available for another player. Someone was going to be released, and they had 6 other WR's on the roster.

How he turned out is irrelevant to the point I made, and does not support what you are saying about injuries.

Not working out well for the Cowboys doesn't somehow automatically mean he was injured frequently in the 4 years before he was a Cowboy. The fact that he only missed 5 games in 4 seasons prior to becoming a Cowboy is easily verifiable.

I said it way back when Washington was signed during training camp that he would end up being a bust and a waste of a roster spot, especially since Washington as a veteran couldn't even make it this year on a Steelers pass-happy team in need of good receivers. Many called me out for saying such a statement. Well, where are those who called me out and said I had no idea what I was talking about? o_O

What a waste this guy has been! We could have kept DT John Ridgeway who would have at least been a contributor for our interior DTs who have been lacking all season in performance. Whomever has made these decisions has been very ignorant and costly to the team.
Washington had zero bearing on Ridgeway.

I was never excited about this signing. I can’t say that I am surprised or upset about his release.

He is pretty much minimum guy. I dont know why people expected much more than this from him

I don't disagree with that. Jerry frequently takes a shot on players that once showed promise with the hope they can regain something that seems to be in the past. Washington had one good season (2019). Odds were Washington would never amount to more than good depth at best.
