Hilton didn’t want to sign during the off season. He wanted time off with his kids before going to back to work.

Exactly, he would have signed much earlier if he wanted to. It's not a bad idea for an older player chasing a ring and looking to limit wear and tear through a long season.

Uh, no. Washington was on IR until December and not taking a roster spot until then. Ridgeway was on the PS and plucked from there back in September or early October. Can’t remember who it was early in the season that was taking a 53 man spot from Ridgeway, but it wasn’t Washington.
Ridgeway didn't even make it to the practice squad. He was signed through waivers. He was that valuable, except for the dumb Cowboys who wasted a 5th round pick only to cut him and see him picked up immediately by a division rival where he has contributed for them. You know, DT, the same area we have been lacking production in all season?

I'm not surprised. I never thought of him as a vertical threat. He is more of a possession receiver like CD but without the quickness and agility.

Dallas needed speed that can stretch the field. Washington wasn't it. T.Y. was that speed receiver that Dallas needed without the high price tag.

Massive front office failure. They actually targeted this guy and signed him early in free agency. Then drafted a project in the third round who has been equally as bad. Really poor job replacing Amari.
I agree they botched the WR position for 2023 from start to finish. I also, didn't like how they pushed Gallup as a savior when they knew he wasn't gonna be 100% this season.

This FO has watched this team get manhandled on the ground since the 2018 Rams game. How many DTs have they drafted in the top 3 rounds? ZERO.

Technically they drafted three in the Top 3 rounds - Hill, Gallimore and Odi.

Granted, two were third round picks and Hill was only taken because Jerry was Jedi mind tricked by Marinelli on being able to develop Hill.

Other QBs have been able to produce well without top grade WRs but not your GOD DAK. THAT is on him for not doing better with what he had
Yet, Dak has been good enough to help turn this Offense from 5th worst early in the season to the #1 top scoring Offense in the league since Dak came back.

Go follow another team since your Dak hate makes you look so embarrassingly dumb.

Yes but again Washington has zero to do with Ridgeway. Washington wasn't eating up a roster spot that could have gone to protect Ridgeway from waivers.

Washington was added to IR on August 31. At that point, he takes up no roster spot on the 53 or any practice squad spot. He didn't come off IR until December 2022. Ridgeway was exposed to waivers in mid-September. How are the two players related?

None of those are run stuffing DTs. Thats what I meant. Sorry I should have clarified.

Washington, Poe, McCoy, Fowler, Sprinkle.

Thats just the last 2 years. Continue to blow smoke up this FO's butt please.
Fowler has actually been a good signing, and over the last 2 years the Cowboys have also signed Anger, Barr, Kearse, Maher, Turpin, Kazee and Hilton. Not necessarily stars, but all good signings that made real contributions. I suspect Hankins would have too if he hadn't gotten hurt.

Jerry has not been a good GM - we all know that - but that doesn't mean we have to deny when a good move is made. The team couldn't be 12-4 if all moves were bad.

You understand how IR works, right?
Yes, I do. You're right about the roster spot. My point is in the dumb personnel decisions this team keeps making. Understand?

LOL. Kazee? You realize he was responsible for half of Diggs yards allowed right? Anger, Kearse and Maher are good signings for sure. That doesnt outweigh the fact this team doesnt sign IMPACT free agents.

So laughable. You are right.

Why couldnt he get on the field then? In Pittsburgh or here?
Had nothing to do with injury in Pittsburg because he almost never missed games. They drafted WRs high recent years and he was never more than a #3 in his best year. His first ever serious injury in the NFL was the broken foot he had with Dallas in preseason, an injury many forget required surgery to repair. The point was you were completely wrong about him having a long injury history….false. That’s what’s laughable. If you want to simply say he’s no good and should never have been signed because he stinks as a receiver, you have a good argument.

It took him 10 weeks to heal from a 4-6 week injury. And even based on the list you sent me. He was injured in Pittsburgh as well. Maybe not to the extent I remembered. Guy was a waste of time. And money.
