Cowboys release TO *Merged*

I think alot of people owe these ESPN reporters an apology.

Their sources were right. :lmao2:

So then, as of now, there's nothing to see here. Got it.

I wouldn't be surprised if ESPN is made to look stupid by Jerry. I would find that ridiculously hilarious.

I can confirm it.

Well, then what is the reason he was cut?

They give him $9 million dollars without playing, cut him late in free agency, and allow him to go anywhere he wants for less since he's already getting $9 million.

Dumb move.

I will get hammered for this, but I honestly believe that TO was responsible for most of Romo's success. I think Tony may be exposed as a mediocre QB without TO. Lord knows Roy Williams isn't picking up any slack that TO is leaving.

Oh well, bring on the three headed monster of Choice, Barber, and Jones.

We will see. A good ground game will help Romo out alot.

A good rushing attack will make a mediocre QB look decent.

<Long sigh of relief>

First, I still have forgiven Owens for his star stomping incident, I was happy to see him improve as a person, and I wish him the best in life. If I hadn't reached the point of forgiveness to him, I would have really certifiably lost it.

I cannot deny that Owens made some great plays for the Cowboys, but I always would have been shaking my head to watch the star stomper holding a Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl trophy, or getting inducted into the ring of honor.

Of course, I believe that it is a good move to let him go, and I hope it eventually improves team chemistry. This move alone won't do it, as Wade needs to reinvent himself in some of his approaches, and Romo needs to put a great deal more personal stake in the fate of the Cowboys wins or losses. Playing loose is what he does, and he may risk a lot trying to change, but he needs to do it!

If he's not successful, we need a leader somewhere to step up! But his style will be contagious simply because he is the quarterback. I'm looking forward to the experiment of cashing out talent in hopes of improving and emphasizing the team concept.

Best of luck, Terrell. In the scheme of life, I hope that you realize that a triple blessing of football talent does not guarantee the pinnacle of success. Your other teammates, even the role players, are necessary for ultimate success. Don't ever forget the concept that the sum of a team is bigger than simply adding individual talents together. I hope that you find peace and wisdom through this devastating circumstance, and understand what is really important.

Has Jerry ever really duped ESPN?

Seems like we always hope Jerry's the smart guy that no one gets, and we'll all benefit in the end.

Yet ESPN always seems to end up being right. At least for the last 15 or so years.

The drama problems. They were not going to put up with it, Roy was brought here to take his place. They are simply moving on from the problems of the past.

Cowboy Chris is drumming up the band as we speak.

Go ask Alice, i think she'll know.

well his play on the field didn't overshadow his sideline antics so I guess it was a easy decision. I would have actually preferred Romo to be cut but maybe that's just me.

But if he's the only one gone, the problems still remain. And now there are other problems.

so everybody should take ur word on this, and ignore countless reviews on how teams cover owens on countless sports shows? right.

get a clue
Wait a minute you responded to my post so obviously it got your attention. I backed up my statement with facts. You backed up yours with what some ESPN talking head feeds you about drawing 2 and 3 people. Why don't you get a clue and come up with something that you don't see or hear on TV and then repeat it in this thread. If T.O. drawing 2,3 people to him was so beneficial why didn't it help Roy Williams and the other receivers. Don't mention Witten because he was putting up numbers before T.O. got here. T.O. can't get the line, he can't run good routes.

You mentioned that T.O. is the best blocking WR. Please.

I doubt very seriously that ESPN goes on the air with this report if it isn't right.

Besides, from what I understand, when teams cut a player, they have to create a paper trail, notifying the NFL office.

You can rest assure that Michael Smith got this information from someone definitely in the know. If not, ESPN has major egg on their face, and that won't bode well for Smith's career.

You just don't go on the air with sourced material of this nature and not be right.

We shall see.

The grasping is quite sad, really.

Internal "drama" problems? Or problems generated because TO is on the Cowboys and the media follows him everywhere?

If it's the latter, then the move is really stupid.

Pacman is gone. Tank is going to be gone.

How is he the only one?
