2014 was nearly as bad. We lost Ware and Hatcher in the offseason. Our rookie to replace Ware was hurt, Scandrick was suspended, our QB was coming back from a bad injury. I believe Josh Brent was suspended with that cloud over him.

I'm not predicting Super Bowl but I am not reading too much into the negativity in July.

She could be saying her relationship was abusive, not just that one night or incident.

I sort of think Elliot made some sort of promises to this girl like when I get the check I will do this or that, and then when he got it,
he said bye bye.
And on top of that he could have treated her poorly, and got rough with her. Not saying he did, but it is possible.

And about the police, that is in the area where he was the big star at ohio state, and the police may feel as many here do ??

My thought is this, if Elliot had been nice to this girl, and not made promises he wasnt going to keep, just to string her along and do
what he wanted, and then broke up with her in a civil manner , I dont think this would be happening right now.

I don't agree with that take at all...if the cops didn't arrest him that morning with fresh bruises, they aren't going to go back in time and believe some story of abuse in the past

Don't forget going into that camp Jerry had been exposed for his behavior with women. That was a wonderful few days of news coverage. this year its Elliot who has potential DV problems, last year we intentionally took on the biggest negative story in the league in Hardy.

a few years before that we on purpose took on Tank Johnson and Pacman, before that Owens.

Basically if you are a criminal or a malcontent you always have a home here because once upon a time in another universe Charles Haley worked out for the team.
