Frankly, I don’t see why people think this is a big deal. If we brought in a former starter, okay. If we brought in a player who will impact the team, well yeah, talk about it, but Jerry brought in a 23 year old developmental QB who will be third string this year. Maybe he can beat our Rush for #2 next year…maybe. With a little luck, maybe he will look great in time in our offense and be our next franchise guy or be traded for sweet picks or walk in free agency for a nice comp pick. Why do you need to talk to Dak or Mike about a last second trade of a fourth round pick for a third string QB? If Lance hadn’t been selected in the first round two years ago, this wouldn’t even be a story.

As for Grier, for the first two weeks, the fans on this board thought he looked awful, was garbage, should be cut for another 3rd string guy or we should carry only 2 QBs. He has a good final preseason game and suddenly fans are ruing his release. It’s just crazy.
