Cowboys are crying for cap space
Not really true. Over $20M still available and could double that if they wanted.
Cowboys are crying for cap space
In my opinion, once you invest the 4th overall draft pick it should be with the understanding that you want the player to stay in Dallas. I might be wrong with this logic.Look I like Elliot. I think he’s a beast on the field. A third down machine. But I don’t think you pay a player that much money just because you can catch a ball out of the backfield and complete third downs. Takes himself of the game too often for me. Miss blocks He misses the open hole. No he’s not the best running back in the league. I actually like the rookie still. It’s all about dollars and he wasn’t worth it In my opinion. But how can We jude any talent and his team with Jason Garrett as the head coach. It all might change with Mike let’s hope
Fourth overall pick means nothing. Should we still have kept Claiborne.I misunderstood what you said I think. Either way I’m not an Elliott fan. I do like him running the ball I just don’t like him. I think he’s a knucklehead and he trips over his own ego too muchIn my opinion, once you invest the 4th overall draft pick it should be with the understanding that you want the player to stay in Dallas. I wouldn't have drafted a RB in the 1st round to begin with. I like Elliott and am a fan. I hope he has a long and elite career.
Apples to Oranges. Claiborne is another subject.Fourth overall pick means nothing. Should we still have kept Claiborne.I misunderstood what you said I think. Either way I’m not an Elliott fan. Well I care about peoples characters. This is America’s team. Integrity respect. Put the knucklehead somewhere elseApples to Oranges. Claiborne is another subject.
What I'm saying is that you give up a lot, it cost more and you're obligated to extend them. If you draft ealy players with the attitude of - oh well, let them go - you're wasting money.
As far as liking Elliott, I couldn't care less what kind of person is or if I like him. I care about the product on the field.
That's fine, I get it. I just look at it as entertainment not role modeles.Well I care about peoples characters. This is America’s team. Integrity respect. Put the knucklehead somewhere else
Pretty sure there wouldn’t have been one of those 8 games we won that we would have lost without Zeke.In retrospect, they should have let him sit out the season. The Cowboys save cap space and I assure you, their draft position radically improves
Cowboys are crying for cap space you signed Elliott last year which they shouldn't have done made him the richest running back They should have traded him away for a first-round and a multiple other picks Running backs don't last that long he's about 25 26 and that's about right when running backs start showing their age Another blunder by Jed Clampett and Jethro running this organization
Should have traded him, or just forced him to play his 6 games to get an accrued season.
Too late now, and it got worse, as we just paid him a 13mil roster bonus. We're into Zeke for 20.5m in bonuses. If we trade him now, that cap accelerates.
Given the bonus money, we're at a point where he is worth his salary anyway, and each league year the *following* year becomes guaranteed in March. He's locked in. His contract was designed to last 4 years. 3 more to go. Get used to it.
I've always been puzzled how this year's *option* bonus could have been *guaranteed*, but that's now cap under the bridge too. Zeke is here through 2022. There are no more choices to make about that.

I wouldn't of traded him i would of told him sorry butter cup you got two years left come play or sit and don't get paid
Running backs don't last that long and Patriots prove you can win without a star running back

He’s a really great player. It just the position he plays. It’s not important enough to spend a top-10 pick on, much less top-5.
really? dude MC was not on EE level and was injured A LOT!! not even a debate..Zekes here because he was exactly what we thought he was coming out of college, MO was NOT!
Zeke does much more then stay in on 3rd and catch balls but your own words contradicts the tapping out issue you believe is there, IT IS NOT..HE DOESNT GET SUBBED LIKE OTHER BACKS , HES IN A LOT MORE ON MANY PLAYS AND COACHES LET HIM PULL HIMSELF OUT AND ITS A LOT LESS THEN ANY OTHER BACK IN THE LEGAUE..
SERIOUSLY, HE LEADS THE LEGUE IN CARRIES SINCE 2016 , last year ,short 3 carries to lead all backs.. tap out are him subbing out when normally coaches pull other backs and put in other backs, you have 3 back system or even a full time 2 back rotation coaches are pulling you all the time and they have half the carries zeke has, so too much? what being on the field for 70% of the offensive snaps, maybe even more is tapping out too much..?????????
give it a break.. dude is in great shape, hes durable, he plays all 3 downs, hes agreat blocker, 2 time rushing champion and had he not been suspended as he led in YPG he would have had over 1350 running yards and another 400 hes booked for around 1800 and 10 all purpose yards and scores every year..he would have had 3 straight crowns to start a career..
WOW the gall... hes here hes the DC Star and somehow the hate claws continue to come out.. want to find issues with al players you stare at them and make narratives thats dont hold water..
carefully remove the hate goggles and transform the troll Avatar you live in to reality..

You think Dak has stayed healthy all on his own? Watch Dak highlights....see how many times Zeke is in there. Blocking like a O-lineman or decoy taking the spy/blitzer our of the picture. Do it....you will see.
Like having FB/RB/TB/TE/OL all in one player. Top 5 pick dude.
The o-line did not play nearly as well last year as 2016. That fact, combined with garrett's predictable game planning did not help zeke.
