.....which is a lot easier said than done.

Of course all you need is the right quarterback. Ask the teams that draft the next Zack Wilson, Mac Jones, Jameis Winston, Mitch Trubisky, or Justin Fields year after year after year if they know that already.
Better than latching on to the pant leg of another wrong QB for his entire career.

I’ve never seen a front office more committed to expecting better results with the same guys that didn’t get them in the past.
That’s not really true. We have let a bunch of “our guys” walk in free agency this year. We will be a much different team personnel wise next season. Edoga was one of the few we decided to keep. Not the smartest player last year. If he improves mentally he will be okay as a backup.

We still need 2-3 B level Free Agents( similar to Cooks B and Gilmore A- ) and a really good draft to improve this team!

Do not extend Dak!!!!!! When the lights are the brightest he comes up small to much, just like the rest of the team( Micah and CD included).

Same thing as setting the franchise back 4-5 years at a time by drafting the wrong QB over and over. This team has not even tried to draft QB's since they "lucked" into Romo and Prescott exceeding what they were expected to be. I have no faith in them not becoming the 1999-2021 Browns or Commanders or any other team constantly starting over at the position.

We can complain all we want about "playoff Dak" and rightfully so. But the fact is, there are at least a dozen teams out there that would absolutely love to have him. This is how hard it is to find the right guy.

Nobody wants to admit it but "regular season Dak" has been elite since late 2018. He's only sucked in the playoffs. But at least he gets there. And a smart team would recognize his strengths and weaknesses by now and build a team around him accordingly.

Again the Cowboys have not done that. They just keep asking Dak to do more with less; and we know he is not that type of QB. So why don't they see it?

I don’t think they expect better results. I think they want roster flexibility next offseason. Signing a name would require Dak and/or Lamb get extended asap. I think Jerry at least wants the option to move on from Dak next offseason and also utilize the option to tag Lamb if need be.
:lmao: :laugh::facepalm:

So who did the Cowboys spend money on when Dak was here cheap for four years on his rookie contract?

The problem are the Jones boys. These problems were here before Dak and they will be here after he is gone.
The problem is the Jones Boys kept putting their chips in on QB's that fold in the playoffs. They put their trust in a undrafted rookie qb and a 4th round qb far too long, These guys perform in the regular season but once the playoff comes, it has to be the team that elevates the QB not the QB elevating the team.

the mistake you made is thinking this is to make our team better,it is just add bodies to the team but do it at the cheapest rate possible.Expect this to be norm once Jerry dies.Stephen wont even pretend to sign our own FAs.

It's funny because he will be on the bench if he makes the team and everybody complained about our guys that we lost in free agency and we will have a bunch of new players on the roster this season.
Funny only to Jones apologists
Sad to real Cowboys fans

Edoga may have been the worst offensive linemen in Dallas last year. And, he got hurt a few times. This is one guy they could have improved upon, but I am sure he is playing for Jerry's pocket change - and he also has the role of chauffer.

I may be the only one in this thread that sort of likes the signing. Need some OT depth desperately and not much to pick from unless going to pony up some picks for trades. Draft is where we’ll find our stud.

He was ****** horrible every snap of every game he was in last season. All I can do is hang my head.
