Nothing meaningful from the cowboys this off-season. I dont get it why restructure contracts and cut Collins then do nothing with the cap space
They don't get the cap space until June. It will pay for the entire draft class and operating during the season.

just when we give ^ on Stevie he throw's a haymaker that gives him life. Now if he can sign Wagner and Kearse, he redeems himself huge and these signings make better sense.

I don't blindly clap like a seal whenever this organization does something.

If they sign Bobby Wagner I'll give em credit, but I'm not gonna pretend they've done anything impactful when they've only gotten worse.

It sounds like you're just happy with anyone.
Quote me. Exactly. At least risenstar is funny. You’re just lame.

This is a weird move for me. He’s awful against the run and mediocre as a pass rusher. Really, he’s a worse Parsons. So, if it’s a cheap deal to back up and rotate with Parsons I don’t hate it, but this isn’t an improvement over last season.

This actually a decent move. If we’re gonna rip the Jones when it’s bad, we have to be fair when they do OK. Fowler isn’t the difference but he can certainly contribute

There’s more to playing defense than sacks. Fowler is a decent signing. He’ll be a pass rush specialist on passing downs. He’s no longer even a starter in the NFL. Dlaw is a borderline pro bowl level player even without the sacks.

I’m starting to think you don’t really watch football, just google stats.

Yeah, it's a helluva lot more than just sacks...that's a fact BUT I do like the signing. He can rotate in there with DLaw, Micah at times, Gholston, Basham and of course Armstrong. That's a solid 6 guys who can get it done. I'd like a guard and/or LB still but we shall see. We can get a starting guard with our first rounder if need be. I'd really rather have a vet LB though. Don't want a rookie at LB.

Read carefully. Even if he’s a backup pass rusher, we are now better than we were an hour before signing him. Between DLaw, Armstrong, Basham, Fowler, and Gholston, we now have a full rotation, competition, and a fallback plan in case we don’t get to draft a quality DE in April. On paper, it’s not better than last year’s team, but it’s better than yesterday’s team.

This rotation nonsense is so ridiculous. Do you want five mediocre players or 2-3 very good ones?

The whole idea is another concept bloviated and over used as a buzzterm by an ignorant front office that simply refuses to invest in elite talent. There isn’t a single “rotation” of DE in the league that performs at a high level.

Fowler doesn’t move the needle at all. The FO is banking on their ability to land a blue chip pass rusher. It’s insufferable.

Would love to see them either sign Smith or trade for Hunter. Then have Fowler and Basham fight it out for 5th De position.
