Like the depth moves today. Outside of 1T we really don't need a starter. Can usually get a solid 2 down DT in the first three rounds

I think Basham is fine as a 3rd DE. Which is what he will be if Gregory doesn’t get in trouble.

If Gregory gets in trouble. The cowboys are in trouble.

if he stays healthy. Having Lawrence, Gregory, Basham, and Anae or maybe bother mid round draft pick. Should be a solid edge rush actually.

it’s the DT’s that are still a concern.

we really need a top end free agent or they need to get an immediate high quality starter in the draft. Which is a big ask.

You have a real affection for mediocrity.

You mean at DL right? Because we could use a starting FS and MLB too. And frankly, I am not sure how one could be sold on Hill or Gallimore as a upper level starting 3T so that could be a target in the draft as well.

Who’s starting at RDE? If you’re penciling in Gregory you’re fooling yourself. We need another starting caliber RDE.

It’s going to be Gregory. I can tell you right now. That’s what the cowboys are banking on

I agree that it’s Risky as hell. But I guarantee that is the Jones’ boys thought process.

I would say of the three signed today Basham has the best chance for a roster spot and being in the rotation.
You need to do your research on Urban. He’s the real deal and sure thing for the roster. Everyone wanted a guy to help the run defense. He played with Baltimore, Tennessee, and Chicago, all good defenses where he was in the rotation. Not a lot of pass rush, but he was the third best run defender in the NFL. https://heavy.com/sports/dallas-cow...Tf1XkV0G3NPs85QnlA6-rM6lQ_bIFYIrXuEsyJezEywNs

I’m convinced this team is drooling over Ossai. I would expect them to move up on round two if he’s there.

Lawrence
Gregory
Ossai
Basham
Anae

is at least solid. The inside is a mess.
Quit saying that. The inside is not as bad of a mess now that they added 6'7", 295 lbs Brent Urban. This likely means the end of Tyrone Crawford, thankfully. So the Cowboys now have Trysten Hill, Neville Gallimore, Antwaun Woods and now Brent Urban playing inside at the DT positions. If they can draft someone like Alim Mcneill to play 1-tech, this interior D-line will be much improved and solid against the run.

3 sacks last year for the lowly Jets. Some call that value. I think that is generous.
