:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I crack up at some of these posts that think that Andy Dalton will be our starter. Andy's been garbage for a couple years now. And...some say he was hamstrung with bad coaching like Dak was with Garrett. Well....what do you think Dak's gonna be with better coaching? Especially after the numbers he's put up for 3 years. Smh. Andy Dalton was paid just like a $3m guaranteed backup QB. Good move to have a veteran backup for spot duty. Nothing more....nothing less. For some of you...keep fishin!

:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:
I guess good point ellude you. It's a fact that a QB needs good players surrounding him to elevate his game. Dalton quite possibly with a back like Zeke and the rest of our crew could reach new heights. All one has to do is look back at aikman. Without his online and some nice pieces around him he looked horrible.

Also, if you don't think bad and inconsistent coaching can hurt a team, and a QB's performance, I can't offer the kind of help you need. There is no doubt that Dalton could look amazing playing with this type of talent, we just have to wait and see, but you're selling him short.

We already offered him allegedly 105 million guaranteed. About 33 million a year which would place him top 5 in the league. That’s a good offer.

I hope we hold firm and don’t cave in like we usually do. Dak shouldn’t be the top paid QB in the league.

Yep and I'm assuming that offer was on a 5yr deal.
Fans screaming "Pay Dak!" "Pay da man already!" "Give Dak his money!"
Well, a 5yr 33M a year deal comes to 165M total with a 100M+ guaranteed and let's say a 25M SB was probably in there too.
All this money is on the table along with likely some added incentives, bonuses and not mention a ton of Dallas Cowboy endorsments to boot.

How is that NOT paying Dak? o_O

So he should accept less money than wentz and goff who he has outplayed in 4 years? They didnt even have to fight for their money must be nice not to have an owner from arkansas. Lets not forget hes already made 15 million less than both of them from their rookie deals

I just woke up from my slumber and saw this....WOW!

The Dak slobberers are not gonna like this.

:laugh:

Not sure I get where you're coming from? Dak is my favorite player, but I'm happy to have a good veteran back up. I think all Dak supporters and fans are in the same boat.

I only got to go back a few posts where you tried to say the reason Marvin Lewis was a better HC than JG was because he had Dalton and Palmer as his QB's, the underlying insinuation was Dak would be a better QB with Lewis as his coach instead of JG, in other words JG is an excuse for Dak not doing well, or the post at the top of this page where you say "give Dak Julio or Megatron and he would be vastly improved" Well how about we give Ryan or Stafford Zeke and see how well they do because there is a bigger difference in RB talent on those teams for those QB's than there has been in reciever talent between their teams and ours

No what I said was at least JG had Dak AND ROMO. How is that a excuse for Dak if I brought up him and Romo who are the quarterbacks Garrett had? And running backs aren't a excuse for you to suck. If it was Mahomes wouldn't have won a ring.

You guys sit here and tell us you don't need a elite running back to win in this league but now that's all Dak needs apparently. I guess it depends on the argument huh?

Dak might not even get THAT deal now from ANY team going forward.

We'll see...

Should be interesting to see what Dalton can do during his time here. He has never had the weapons in Cincy that he has here. OL, RB, and WRs.

Nice try your insinuation was that Dalton and Palmer held back Marvin Lewis where as it was JG who was holding back Dak

Wasn't my insinuation. Its what I said. You are just wrong in when I said it. I brought that up in comparison to JG and Marvin Lewis as head coaches. I could've also brought up the fact that Lewis always had reputable defenses too but wasn't even worth bringing up.

Cowboy fans that have not seen the Landry years, Johnson years, and Parcells years forget that is is necessary to have a veteran QB on the roster providing starting depth, competition, and allowing you to develop a younger QB as a 3rd option.

Landry signed Eddie Lebaron and Clint Murchinson signed Don Meredith to a PSA to have him on the Cowboys roster when the franchise started. Drafted Morton in the 1st round, Staubach in the 10th, and drafted Danny White and Glenn Carano with premium round draft picks during that 20 year win streak.

Jimmy Johnson did the same thing Murchison and Landry did drafting Aikman, Walsh, signing Babe Laufenberg, signed Cliff Stoudt, traded for Steve Beuerlein, signed Bernie Kosar, and Rodney Pete during the 90's Dynasty.

Bill Parcells, developed Quincy into a one year playoff QB, signed Tony Romo, Vinny Testerverde, and Drew Bledsoe. Then Parcells got feed up with Jerry breaking out the anointing oil for Romo and left allowing Jerry to provide no veteran QB or developing QB to provide both competition and depth behind Rome. This happened from 2007-2016. So Cowboy fans have forgot what QB depth and QB depth development looks like in the NFL.

Well this is what a competitive roster looks like to win in the NFL. Sorry you had to have a decade of Jerry the Dumbo GM Jones 25 years of country club Cowboys.

Guess who's next....maybe Clay Matthews who can push competition and provide depth for all those unreliable DEs and under performing DE starters.

So he should take less than wentz and goff who hes individually outperformed?
Both Wentz and Goff has had parts in getting teams to Super Bowls. Dak has not even come close to doing that. Dak does not make the players around him better. Those players have to do things that makes Dak look better than he is. The WRs have to make incredible catches for Dak due to the passes being thrown too high, too low, too far behind them or too far in front of them. Dak is constantly bailed out by teammates. How many teammates does Dak make better. I can’t think of a single one. You fans gives Dak credit for the actions of his teammates and he doesn’t deserve it.

There is no way Dak is worth 30 million more than Dalton. Dak and his agent are delusional. Frankly I don’t think Dak is good enough to win us a SuperBowl. If we would’ve got Tom Brady I would’ve been so excited with the rest of these acquisitions.

Stop with the endorsements nonsense. That's extra work. Would you be happy having to give up your weekends to get paid what you should earn?

Y'all are literally arguing that our QB should shut up and get a side hustle to make more money.

Howie Roseman is now selling it as having a back-up for 4 years in the cheap. Cheaper than signing vets but a big gamble assuming he can play.

Dalton is a good signing for the Cowboys. Puts pressure on the Dak camp and he’s a better QB than many give credit for.
IMO if this puts pressure on Dak to sign a deal for more years than Dak wants to then he needs to fire his agent.
