Idiotic statement. No one knows where Dez is mentally or physically right now on this forum. He still is young enough to perform at a high level. All anyone is saying is give him a look.

I think it is misguided to assume that Dez can still play. 31 other teams have passed on him. Why would we even take a flyer on a guy like that? A proven cancer. A baby on the sidelines.

He had two great seasons in 2011 and 2012 where he put up 33.5 sacks. It was a steady decline after that. His last two seasons in the NFL in 2014 and 2015 he produced only 5.5 sacks. He’ll be 31 by the start of next season and there’s not likely to be a next season with this pandemic. Smith has been out of the league too long and has had too many issues to make a real impact. He won’t produce what Greg Hardy did.

I think way more misses then hits but it's possible. It's just not probably and I guess I prefer to play the odds rather then the long shots.

We have how many more years of Dak and this OL left? It is just crazy to me that we would take a flyer on a guy to produce at such an obvious need position when you know you only have some many shots left. IDK.........

Signing a player with the rap sheet Smith has shows despite the head coaching change nothing has changed with the Cowboys. The Joneses can’t seem to stay away from these type of players. Now we have two pass rushers who have yet to be reinstated.
