Cowboys to interview Saleh

He had, arguably, the worst owner in the league. It wouldn’t be better here, but the failures in NY can absolutely not be laid 100% at his feet.
Zero accountability players ran wild

don't much matter as long as Jerry ans Steven are running things but I'm with you.Id love to have someone off the McVeigh or Shanahan tree. edit my bad he is from the shanahan tree isnt he?
It doesn't, but I'd rather try something fresh. We can look at someone like Saleh and say if he didn't succeed there, how could he possibly stand a chance of succeeding here? At least with an unknown there's the hasn't failed yet factor.

Why aren't we bringing in Vance Joseph or Brian Flores for interviews-both much better DEF coordinators in my opinion

if our team loses on gameday...atleast our head coach could take theirs.
except maybe dan campbell.
but saleh would wear knee pads.
yeah.
give me saleh in a close one.

And it won’t be his fault the Cowboys are the Cowboys!

I get that, but I think he's a good coach. I think he'd get our defence even better. With Dak being a veteran QB, it's not a bad idea going defencive HC. Arguably, we only need an OC to partner with Dak. So, get a coach like Saleh who can really structure the defence to be even better, and I think he would succeed here.

No self respecting Cowboys fan should ever marry, date, go out, etc. with a Philly fan!! I actually turned down a date once because I knew the guy was an egals fan!!
When I get a chance I’ll DM you a quick Philly story. One of many. My dislike for them goes well beyond Eagles/Cowboys. You’ll see why it wouldn’t fly in GPop.

Because he has shown no evidence of being a good HC

The defense is the side that needs some talent - someone to pair with Parsons that can raise hell. DT to hold the middle and not fold like Mazi. Linebackers and Safeties.

Aaron Glenn's preferred choice is the Jets (per @BrianCoz)
Interesting he had a great career there. I think he might end up at Saints.
Hopefully we interview him. A great DC that has not failed as a HC

GREAT, a defensive minded HC who had a pretty dam good defense in NY that faltered miserably under his direction. NO THANKS..........
We should be aiming higher than this. His track record just is not good enough Come on.

Any coach that might make the defense a priority is a plus,,, so he's got that at least.

Exactly. When you have a young QB, you need an offensive HC to help develop the QB. When your starting QB is a veteran like Dak, then it's good to go defencive HC. Especially since our defence is already fairly well built. Saleh likes the interior, and that is an area we need to be really building more. I think it's a great decision. All we really need is an OC that works well with Dak but also focuses on the run (especially since Dak likes the play action). I think a coaching staff of something like Saleh at HC, Josh McCown (QB coach with the Vikings) at OC, and Zimmer or someone who Saleh wants at DC would be cool. And then have Witten at TE coach would be amazing.

Right, and having someone like Saleh at HC or DC wouldn't be a bad way to have someone who knows what he's talking about in to enhance our defence. Really, that's the side of the ball we should be looking for HC.
