Hire someone who can take the defense to the next level. The only way you are getting there is with talent on that side of the ball and someone who knows how to use said talent.

Bottomline is Jerry is never going to hire a HC again who has complete control over his own staff and have full control over the players on the field.

Saleh was a very hot HC candidate when he went to the Jets. He had terrible ownership, sounds familiar, had an overrated QB forced on him, again … familiar, didn’t get to select his OC … hmm.

Sounds like the perfect Dallas choice.

To be honest, I wouldn’t have an issue with this hire depending on who was running the offense.

I know people would be mad if Jimmy came back as coach, but we could certainly do worse than Saleh.

I saw it mentioned on X that Saleh then could get LaFleur to leave the Rams to be his OC and run Shanahan's offense.

Not my first choice but if it’s him or Kellen give me home. Kellen is a nerd who could never lead men
I will actually take Saleh and at least have somewhat of a positive outlook. Hire him as HC

let him have some say in coordinators
let his fingerprints be on the defense but tell him he needs to be involved in all 3 phases
build a bigtime defense
draft a RB
hire an OC that believes in the ground game and play action.
dak isnt going anywhere, lets build something where we count less on him.
**if witten is pushed on him, let witten know he is TE coach for a minimum of 3 years W/O room for advancement to OC.

He was atrocious in New York an embarrassment.
He had, arguably, the worst owner in the league. It wouldn’t be better here, but the failures in NY can absolutely not be laid 100% at his feet.

I like it. He is a good coach, and it's not his fault the Jets are the Jets. He'd be great for our defence. Just need a good OC, and this could work.

How’d he do any good in NY. There 4 years and never finished higher than 3rd in the division. He was flat out terrible and very much a part of the problem. His game management was horrific. If you thought McCarthy was bad, wait til you get a load of this guy. I live about 15 minutes from the meadowlands and unfortunately watched a lot of Jets games! If Saleh is the hire here, this team is screwed.
While Jerry runs the show, the team is screwed whether Saleh is hired or not!
