He had the Jets defense near the top of the league his entire time there despite complete garbage at QB.

They were top 2 this year before he was fired, and then they promptly fell off a cliff.

Would be a great hire if we can get a good OC too.
He was a top DC......no question about that. He runs the Tampa 2 variety D........

Because of our FO, I'm convinced that Saleh is our best possible candidate

Saleh is a quality DC. I’ve heard the 49ers are interested in bringing him back. As HC he bombed with the Jets, but then again, it was the Jets. I dont know much about him besides that.

Im sure if Jerry hires him he would view him as a glorified coordinator, just like with Gailey, Campo, Wade and Garrett. Jerry would likely hire the OC since he sees himself as the pseudo-HC orchestrating everything.

Saleh would be a great hire.

As long as he brings in an OC who has a 2025 outlook on offense. He got saddled with Hackett and Rodgers and lost his job. That team was actually doing better and better until Rodgers came to town.

I love Saleh. Unfortunately he wont be able to hold players accountable so it doesnt matter.

To be honest Jerry could trade 2 #1 draft picks to the Rams for McVay but if McVay can't hire his own staff and have control it won't do any good.

Live in NY so have seen a lot of Jets and Giants obviously (unfortunately lol)

I’d classify him in the camp of good coordinator, but not a good HC. Was way too buddy, buddy with the players and almost too nice of a guy.

Genuinely seems like a great guy, but doesn’t have the right temperament to be a HC. Also, his in game clock management left a lot to be desired.

If he was coming to be the DC great, but for HC big pass.

I’m sure he would get along well with the Joneses though.

Put together a pretty good defense in New York, but struggled to get a good offense to match. Would be very interested in him as a DC, not as much as an HC. Would rather give someone who hasn't failed at that a try.
don't much matter as long as Jerry ans Steven are running things but I'm with you.Id love to have someone off the McVeigh or Shanahan tree. edit my bad he is from the shanahan tree isnt he?
