Because Mike left. Not fired. Jerry probably wanted to keep him on another one year deal, or some insane thing like that, but Mike grew some balls and now Jerry has idea *** to do.

Supposedly Schottenheimer can be the disciplinarian. If he comes back it could be Nussmeier as OC

I'm going to be a little contrarian here and say I'm not sure Schotty would be the worst pick. He does have a little personality and leader-of-men to him. Might even be a better HC than Xs and Os coordinator.

Don't get me wrong, the pool of coaches we're looking at is terrible. I would actually be excited about a Vrabel, but of course Jerry didn't even make an attempt there. Just saying I actually think BS could be better than Kellen or some of these other names.
