I'm guessing they view Schottenheimer as a fall guy for the next two years of failure. Unfortunate. Our rivals are doing better than ever and the Joneses are not only not trying to get better but actively trying to get worse.

Guys like Shottenheimer and Kellen…they don’t have options. No one serious about winning is hiring them as a head coach. It’s nothing against Kellen but they fired him, he gets fired again and that goes to the Eagles to run Sirriani’s offense…what on earth has he done to change their minds? Just a silly team.
Yeah, both are terrible. But Kellen was being interviewed by New Orleans or may opt to stay OC in Philly and wait for the next cycle rather than come here, depends on how desperate he is.

Either way they are only in consideration because Jerry still wants total power and control.

He thinks someone was hired to be the Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys that wasn't really Jerry's preference.

That world doesn't exist. Stephen is a secretary. Nothing more.
I always believed that Stephen
was the one that persuaded Jerry to talk to Mike about the job. And set it up where Mike would go to Jerry's house for the interview.

This is so ridiculous, im not even sure Pop Warner teams would be able to run like this "Hey guys i know your vested in this with your kids but im gonna waste everyones time the next couple of years while this dead corpse coach trains this guy I THINK will be good..." what a Fing joke...

Will take Schotty over Kellen Moore. He was coaching in the NFL when Moore was in Jr High. At least he’s got experience and a better chance to command a room. What has Moore done to deserve all the anointing oil?
Only reason is because he is Martys boy. He is a lousy OC and no one in all those years tried hiring him as HC.

Can they teach Dak how to run a little faster? Nevermind the deer in the headlights.

We will know the guy Dallas wants when they call him to Dallas for an interview and keep him there the entire day. All these 2 hour meetings, in person of by Zoom sessions are just part of the dog and pony show. When they get their guy in the building, they will keep him there as long as it takes to sell him the job. Or, since it's Jerry, maybe he just goes through the motions and hires the guy he wants without really vetting him properly. How long does it take to find the guy who won't challenge you?
....im sure, with all that you stated. They want to hear WHAT he could bring to the table in terms of winning games. I really feel the wont challenge Jones ideas are overrated. ..just saying..

Its been basically 30 yrs, you gotta believe they want to right ship.

I think the Top guys are Kellen and Kliff, but they're still obligated. So, in the meantime other guys will get interviews to pick their brains about them team, and do due diligence lol.
