People need to just clarify their desires as a whole and not is it piecemeal.

While I have no interest in Zimmer as HC or a long term DC, I wouldn’t mind him as a one year stopgap.

Assuming our standard outcome, as long as 2025 brings an entirely new coaching staff I’m down.

I’d people want a rebuild you have to plan for that.

We won’t know anything though until Dak is settled.

Bringing in Zimmer seems like a good way to get your star pass rusher to leave. Absolutely no way those two will get along.
Your star pass rusher wanted to leave before he even got here and openly said he’d go with him. Zimmer ain’t the tipping point.

Zimmer is not a bad Dc this is true..this is far from "Swinging for the fences" but that whole comment was dumb considering the HC current position..

Zimmer is going to be the choice what I horrific all season so far.

We’ve gone from home field advantage to the laughingstock of the NFL to looking at Ron Rivera and Mike Zimmer.

Brutal

Jerry and his son suck .

I noticed you didn't answer the question.

Really, lacked talent? I didnt know that.
Hayley
Woodson
Deon
Jennings
Casillias

All played at some point during his time as DC, all apparently lacked talent. Nice to know.

Based on what exactly?

The run stopping talent of our current team?

Based on a hope and a strange memory of a team you say lacked talent.

Guy hasn't been a coordinator for 13 years. Time for some younger more modern approach to the Defensive side of ball. Maybe a guy who didn't run a foreign defense than what used to just to keep his job.

I would love a young up and coming guy, my first choice would be Al Harris, even with him openly not being an X’s and O’s guy as long as his teams play disciplined football. I do not want Ron and BB will not come here to be DC, and I don’t think Vrabel has any interest in being a DC or at least a DC here. BB’s son is an interesting option one I don’t know much about. So with having a lame duck coach and a team that’s about to have a pretty significant turnover Zimmer isn’t a bad choice. Not my first choice but def not the worst hire. How my point about him being able to adjust isn’t a bad thing and not sure why it should be considered a bad thing. But knowing our options I’m fine with it.

If he thinks he brought a pressure defense then he doesn't remember his tenure in Dallas. Mr. Bend but don't break. King of the 10 yard cornerback cushions. Had some game plans that required not rushing to keep from giving up big plays.

Oh I remember.
Zimmer is not a home run. More like getting a walk to 1st base.

I would like Bill and Steve Belichick.

Steve Belichick

The Hoodie’s son is well regarded among league insiders as being a potential coaching star. Perhaps Dallas looks in this direction to see if they could catch Shanahan-style lightning in a bottle, but on defense.

Basically 20 years later you hire the same game for the same job he had. In 20 years he couldn't get better than that? That's like in the movie Biloxi Blues where 20 years later Selridge was still a buck private.

If your star pass rusher can’t handle having to be accountable, then the issue is the player NOT the coach. And that also means that Micah for all is his talent is a part of the problem sadly.
